mk1del Posted September 4, 2016 Report Posted September 4, 2016 Sold my white rs , Bought a mk2 escort van a few weeks ago, now home got started on it yesterday, bought it off alba classics, fair price including delivery, Anyway think I'm going white again ,was already white, already got a poorly fitted pinto and 5 speed type nine fitted, Going to build it like a rs 2000 van white with possibly mk1 rs stripe in blue Might go with the midland wheels 15" rs style wheels Let's see some vans posted on here ,,to see how many vans are out there and give me some ideas 1
colr6 Posted September 4, 2016 Report Posted September 4, 2016 What about rs nosecone, not seen a van with one on. 1
Admin Vista Posted September 4, 2016 Admin Report Posted September 4, 2016 What about rs nosecone, not seen a van with one on. It has been done........but is easier said than done as the RS nose cone is designed for mk2 wings, whereas a mk2 Van has hybrid mk1 esque wings
mk1del Posted September 4, 2016 Author Report Posted September 4, 2016 Flat front, looks odd with nosecone 2
colr6 Posted September 4, 2016 Report Posted September 4, 2016 Will retract that statement, don't like em ! ..Looks wrong
colr6 Posted September 4, 2016 Report Posted September 4, 2016 I was thinking along the lines of how good the Vauxhall droop snoot looks on estate car aswell as the saloon or coupe if you want to call it that It's not a Ford but that's my next car if one comes along, saloon or estate don't mind 2
khanlad Posted September 4, 2016 Report Posted September 4, 2016 The green one looks OK, red one wrong? 1
John escort mk1V6 Posted September 4, 2016 Report Posted September 4, 2016 Thats a nice project , i say keep the old nose and if you gonna do a nosejob put the nose from a mk1 on it. And shut the panels and paint a oldskool company text on it. The 15x7j RS wheels looks good i was also dreaming to put them under mine mk1 i have now the 13inch and for the 15inch are more tyre`s available. Some idea`s. 1
Admin Vista Posted September 4, 2016 Admin Report Posted September 4, 2016 I guess this as good an excuse as any for some shameless self promotion 3
mk1del Posted September 4, 2016 Author Report Posted September 4, 2016 Its a African van with rs type strut tops and very little tinworm bit on front floors and lower heater bubble area, only job I'm dreading is closing those rear quarter panels
Admin Vista Posted September 4, 2016 Admin Report Posted September 4, 2016 And as you mention white with blue RS mk1 decals (OK, these are black) This is a nice one too
mk1del Posted September 4, 2016 Author Report Posted September 4, 2016 No excuses needed, lets have some vans, with that many mk1 and 2 escorts on the road refreshing changes to see a van

RWL81P Posted September 5, 2016 Report Posted September 5, 2016 i'd love a mk2 van for my work bus, but it would be white with mexico steels, qtr bumpers and the early FORD grille. no spoilers big wheels or daft body kits. 1
John escort mk1V6 Posted September 5, 2016 Report Posted September 5, 2016 Has anyone ever rallied a van I just saw this on FB.
