I had a Metro it was red . Little Mg it was as cool as fook. Pulled me loads of ladies... The newest car ive ever had . Even came with original patina , yeah rust at 12 mths of age lol. I loved i still the same.

yes they were shit for rust ,the front wings if I recall.but unlike the old fords Austin had the wisdom to use bolts not welding so changing them were easy as fook

I didnt even realise there was a rivalry between the two till I joined this site. Here all the Euro Fords stick together as family and the V8 Yobbo Muscle Car Brigade is the enemy.

Thanks for the heads up, obviously I knew the guy who bought kermit because he wanted an rs2000 and was going to be his car, was obviously a dealer. But good on him. I think it's really resonably priced especially if he has had both front floor pans redone as he said he would. Funny to still see my furry dice, ex southend boy, and kermit still in the back window. All I will say is that he really was a strong car , the engine, the box and brakes are really sorted, and it could have easily been a daily driver. Fingers crossed for a proper new owner!

Kind words Pete, I called you when Kermit was for sale but hesitated! I still had my Mk1 RS2000 at the time... anyway, I'm back in an Escort now... Anglia doesn't do it for me..
