Anyone know what us petrol heads owe this Swiss Engineer / Inventor (who died on this day on 1950) a huge debt of gratitude for?

Yes / No game, bring on the questions......

What, no to him using the Henry in Ernest?

Lol, I thought you were still going on about vacuum cleaners.

It is indeed Ernest Henry. The Swiss engineer who built the first ever 4 valve (per cylinder) twin OHC engine............as long ago as 1912! Which begs the question why were we still wasting our time with side valve engines on regular cars 50 or 60 years later??
