Hi there, I'm new to the forum so thought I would introduce myself.

I'm just at the point of buying an RS2000. I used to have a 1600 sport in the mid 80s when I first passed my test so have always loved mk2 escorts. Maybe it's a bit of a midlife crisis I'm going through at the min, (although it seems to have lasted for the past 20 years), lol. I can't seem to stop wanting one. I'll post pics when I get it and

I'll be asking questions so be gentle.

Cheers Pete. Yes mate, it's scary how expensive they've become. Fortunately I've been a good boy and saved quite well. It will soon be gone though now. Lol

I test drove a mexico yesterday and I'd forgot just how different they were to my modern day car.
