Fozzy48 Posted June 10, 2017 Report Posted June 10, 2017 I am wanting a set of K & N or Pipercross air filters for my twin 45 webers. Has anyone got any kicking about. Cheers. Fozzy
colr6 Posted June 10, 2017 Report Posted June 10, 2017 What space have you got between carbs and inner wing ? that will determine the size of filter to go for. I personally prefer K& N but nothing wrong with pipercross at all. To me the bigger the filter the better.
Fozzy48 Posted June 10, 2017 Author Report Posted June 10, 2017 There looks to be plenty of room once I take the trumpets off mate. At least I think there'll be plenty of room. Tell me if you think differently mate. Sorry for the crap picture. You can just about see ends of the inlet trumpets. https://www.flickr.com/gp/124581931@N06/bt244n Regards. Fozzy
colr6 Posted June 10, 2017 Report Posted June 10, 2017 K& N do various depths in filters but would suggest 80-100mm deep if you can get them in. The trumpets remain inside the filters it helps with the flow of air as long as they don't fill the filter ! I ran 20mm trumpets in 80 mm filters.

colr6 Posted June 10, 2017 Report Posted June 10, 2017 The thing with the southies is they buy the fancy wide wheels then after they've bought all their face creams they can't afford the RIGHT tyres for the rims. 1
