RWL81P Posted October 29, 2017 Report Posted October 29, 2017 how about a well looked after rs2000? just needs a good valet. all original apart from the roof rack which im told is retro! and the tow bar. and i took the rear screen out so it has air con! will polish up like a new penny!
RWL81P Posted October 29, 2017 Report Posted October 29, 2017 my beloved mk2 escort for sale, owned for the last 10yr, i went to a well known ford show and left the car in the car park. when i came back to it some parts had been stolen from it. i was gutted and had to have the car towed home. could be as good as new if you have the time and funds to replace whats missing. atleast they didnt steal the whole car!
colr6 Posted October 29, 2017 Author Report Posted October 29, 2017 That's just how I like to find em, put the three cases of T cut to use I bought cheap !

If a single guard on your car is aftermarket you may have a bit of trouble with originality. To the original photos to start this thread, this car was own by someone on the Turbosport Forum. I know what actually happened to it!

RWL81P Posted October 29, 2017 Report Posted October 29, 2017 suprised it aint back on the road, think escort owners use the old war term, make do and mend!
RWL81P Posted October 31, 2017 Report Posted October 31, 2017 the tawny rust mk1 twincam is back on ebay!
preacherman Posted October 31, 2017 Report Posted October 31, 2017 Did they do a tawny brown twincam or has all the white paint peeled off or been eaten by wild boar.

It's breaking my heart selling this and don't want to be giving a donation to the Taxman. Thanks for your understanding. i see your orange escort is on ebay col, apparentley as an rs2000, with two completely different cars in the ad! some people are just stupid. clearly states 1600 sport on the qtr!

Look at the sellers name. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/escort-mk1-twincam-avo-rally/192350406517?hash=item2cc8fa4775:g:GAoAAOSwPpZZ9gKs Then think back to the 65000 pound Twincam hulk Col posted in another thread. Same seller. What he has a treasure map of old hulk Twincams? What tipped me off was the way the papers were photographed was the same. While our Twincams were available in a variety of colours its said that a later batch of UK built Twincams were available in colours alongside the RS1600. (Although I have never actually even seen a photo of a coloured UK Twincam) That said if you look at his papers this is a March 69 model so in no way could one of that date be anything but white. I wonder what this guys agenda is? Having read some of his responses in his other auction it seems he may well be a joker playing games with people rather than scamming them for money. Its hard to tell but he is definitely a faker of some description.

Moderator Rally Pack 2000 Posted November 1, 2017 Moderator Report Posted November 1, 2017 Just when you think that the ridiculousness of this barn find phenomenon cant get any more absurd. Model makers upon seeing how Escort owners seem happy to pay thousands for any rusty old crap they thought it only fair they too should have a model of their favourite car! Yep straight off Ebay.

That alone tells you he is a little liar. So WHOS going to buy it ???
