Hi all, 

My brother is after an OSF and has a max of 4K to spend. West Country area would be better but if a Mk1 Escort or RS came up further away, I can’t emagine he’d turn it down. 

Probably looking at Mk1 fez, later Tina’s or a basic 4 door Mk2 Escort.

found a purple Mk2 Escort in Cornwall but seller not responding if you are on here.

I think it's a project vehicle with a part completed pinto conversion. Will find out more.

I can build if that’s all it needs but he can’t go to 4000 to spend more to get it on the road.

I dont know if prices here reflect those in the UK but you can get Mk2 Cortinas here for 2.5k complete. They just haven't seem to be targeted by the enthusiasts yet for some reason. Incredible value and nice to look at too.

If you could get a two door series two GT hopefully rust free, would be worth the cost of shipping it over. End up with a nice motor and would say be worth more than you've laid out.
