capriclive Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 sitting in doors about an hour or so ago, i heard a loud bang out side. i went outside. well, some c**t came up the road, lost control, hit a neighbours car, spun round, clouted my van, pushed that back into my capri, pushed that back into my people carrier. both van and capri are write offs. the guy (40 ish)wasnt injured (would have been if i got to him before a crowd gathered.) he must have been going at some speed, in a residential area. pushed the van four foot up a grass enbankment im well gutted, my van is my living. written off, f****d. capri is a write off as well, front and rear! some pics.

capriclive Posted March 2, 2007 Author Report Posted March 2, 2007 car responsible hit 5 cars in total. 4 write offs. i believe it was a hire car, so just have to wait for the insurance to sort it out. well gutted though.

capriclive Posted March 2, 2007 Author Report Posted March 2, 2007 i wont let it go to scrap. ill have a better look in the light. front end is well crumpled, rear panel is pushed back about 7 inches and boot wont shut.
MK5 Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 we had the same happen to us last year - wrote our mk2 granny off we didn't claim on the insurance though - we sold the car as it was... the front of the Mazda RX7 ended up embedded in the side of our Granny

I hope for your sanity's sake the capper's salvageable. if not, i'd buy it off you just to save it from going to the crusher. absolute bummer about the van as well. always liked trannys. hope you don't lose too much work because of it.
