Guest lagerlout Posted March 5, 2007 Report Posted March 5, 2007 just picked up a tranny diesel on a K-plate.3 months tax and mot £150 so back to work for me. yippee another one of my finds lol.
Guest lagerlout Posted March 5, 2007 Report Posted March 5, 2007 That sucks m8 Heres hoping the tw*t is insured....how fookin fast must he have been going ffs Feel for you m8....1 cars bad enough , but to have your van and your Bro"s car written off as well beggers belief wasent my car mate i had a different crash that day lol.
capriclive Posted March 8, 2007 Author Report Posted March 8, 2007 still pretty p****d off. everytime i go out i look at them. cant even move them at the moment, but got the insurance assessor coming out tomorrow morning. just got to wait and see what i get offered for the van and capri, im hoping to be able to keep / buy back the capri from them as i dont really want to see it going for scrap. it is repairable with a bit of work, but not economical to the insurance company. mind you if they dont offer a realistic price i wont be accepting it. will keep you informed.
oldskool4me Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 sorry to hear about that mate i realy feel for ya, hope the capri gets saved from the scrappy, what a to##er
mossy Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 I feel for you mate....Having both of those written off at once! I would of had some words with him too! What is a mk1 capri worth nowadays?
spooner Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 don't take no crap mate, the buy back price is about 10% of the book price.
Pipster007 Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 Sorry to see that Clive Can you hire a van for work and add it to his claim, seeing as he drove into your motors
capriclive Posted March 9, 2007 Author Report Posted March 9, 2007 well, the insurance assessor came out today to assess the van and capri. asked how long id had them and how much i paid etc... offered a price for the van, which was acceptable. he then went on to tell me that he used to work on mk1 capris when he was younger. he said " i take it you want to keep the capri " then offered a payout of £700 for it but deducted £50 off it for me to buy it back as salvage / parts. so in all a good result. ive ended up with a newer / better van which i bought extremely cheap, still get to keep the capri, and a large cheque heading my way. and still got a claim going through for 2 days loss of earnings.
Durham Fiesta Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 glad it turned out well , now get that capri fixed
