eastoe73 Posted April 16, 2019 Report Share Posted April 16, 2019 Hi all, I am building my Mk1 Escort and was wandering if I can do some CHEAP upgrades to the original English axle, its an 1100 just thought cheaper to do a few upgrades than buy a new one. colr6 Posted April 16, 2019 Report Share Posted April 16, 2019 You can do a few mods, anti tramp bars/ panhard rod/ spring bushes ( poly ) and the expensive bit a limited. Rally Pack 2000 Posted April 19, 2019 Report Share Posted April 19, 2019 No one seems to have mentioned that the ratio of an 1100 diff probably wont be suitable for a lively 160bhp engine. Its probably something like a 4.1. If you going to all the trouble to put a LSD or ATB in it then you may wish to consider changing the ratio at the same time.
