Type 9 'long' first gear ratio

Hi folks. Im looking for a long first gear ratio set for my type 9 gear box. If anyone has one or knows a good place to look please let me know. Cheers!

Yeah found the kit on burtons for around £280. I'll look into that down the line when I get the engine up and running

I use a BGH Geartech one on my 4 speed Type E. I recommend this mod even before you get an LSD, it makes that much difference.

 I'm running the Mazda 5 speed in my MK1 Cortina, first gear is higher than I like, but top speed is also higher than I like. I'm running a 3.9 ratio diff with 185/60/13 tyres.

142mph at 7000.

I think I'll be looking for a 4.1 diff sometime in the future. And that would make the 1st gear not so much of a clutch slipper😁

Ratios on my box are

1st  3.16

2nd  1.88

3rd  1.33

4th  1.0

5th  0.81

My anglebox runs a 2.03 first with a 3.54 diff, who needs any other gears round town.....lol

That sounds like a 7000 rpm clutch slipper pull away 😁
