pinto electronic ignition

so my mk2 escort is running a luminition electronic ignition set up that was 2nd hand when i bought it a number of years back. been dead reliable so have just bought a new one from burtons.

my question is, i would like to have a spare set to chuck in my spares box for when were racing, or like yesterday the lumintion craps out, cant get a replacement, cant go racing the next day 😠

anyone got any experiance with the cheaper sets like accuspark or what ever, cant justify a 200quid luminition box chucked in the spares box in the van

hi, i used them for years, easy to connect, just 2 wires, these will work with your balast wire in your loom, or put 12 volts on the ignition coil and it will run on 12 volts insted of 9 volt with your balast wire in your loom, you have to change your ignition coil for one witch runs on 12 volt, like the one from a sierra, on 12 volts the car will run beter, cheers marcel
