Hi all, after looking at my horendous wire loom on my Mk 2 Escort 1600 sport.

I think I'm better off replacing it , rather than repairing it.

So I'm looking for a loom, behind dash, and engine bay, but behind dash more important.

I would consider modifying a

Standard MK2 loom, or a 1600 sport one would be great.

Please let me know of any for sale.

Thanks

johnny

the only mk2 loom ive messed with, the loom was all one thing from front to back, with just a few additional looms for little items, and that was from a 79 RS2 custom

I think you are correct, maybe any RHD Mk2 escort loom would do, with a few adjustments.

Hopefully someone will have one I can buy.

Wasn't there a company that sold new complete looms at one point?

I think Darren @Posse had one made for one of his MK1's back in the day and @over_head_cam fitted it.

Yes new are available , but they are over £1200 , and I didn't want to spend that 😳

Used will do me 🙂

Coward, face that bodged South African Frankenstein like a man! Just avoid lightning and moist carpets!

I would take that sort of thing on normally, but I think making my time less of a ball ache with a head start of another loom , is the way to go😬

Loom aches seem one of the biggest sources of angst on this forum. Even those who buy new ones seem to have issues. We all look and hope we never have to do that.

Got one off a fellow Escort owner.

Just need to change some plugs, and add  the wires for rev counter, heated window and spot lights.

😁

"Thanks Mike"
