Brenda1978 Posted July 30, 2022 Report Posted July 30, 2022 Brenda has been off the road for 6 weeks with humongous starting and idling issues coupled with destruction of a few starter motors cones. I think she is almost back to normal now and will idle and not cut out at junctions. Still not 100% but at least its driveable. 1
Brenda1978 Posted July 31, 2022 Author Report Posted July 31, 2022 No idea to be honest. I suspected the regulator might be restricting flow somehow. I had a dodgy connection on the bestek that was not easy to see. Coupled with a faulty new fuel pump. It's ot better however I still think there is a fuel issue. Gonna check the vent for petrol tank and check no kinks in the fuel line

Poor aftermarket spares unfortunately even though it was Firstline.
Ray Posted August 2, 2022 Report Posted August 2, 2022 you must have been unlcky, ive fitted 2 firstline ones to cars and theyve been and still are fine, and the reason we fitted them after the original failed, was because we were promised they were ethanol friendly, which was the reason the original failed, as it wasnt
