Newbie here. Thought I’d pop in to introduce myself. Currently restoring a 1980 Escort MK2 Ghia 4 door in Cosmos Blue. Work is currently on hold due to me having open heart ❤️ surgery 3 weeks ago, but my brain is still ticking away waiting for the day I’m well enough to continue refitting the interior and bumpers. Will post pictures when I can. First car was a 1973 Escort 1300E, and my dad bought a MK2 1300L in 1977 which I remember collecting with him. He was going to buy a Ghia in Cosmos Blue, but changed his at the last moment because of the extra cost over a 1300L. Hence why I’m restoring my Ghia to give him the car he always wanted.

Don't forget to tell the surgeon you need high zinc content 20W50 when they do a transfusion.

We all have oil in our veins.

Get well soon.

Thank you to all. I’m getting better by the day.  Can’t drive for 4 more weeks and no lifting for 3 months. So much to do to get car roadworthy. I’ve resigned myself to the fact my car won’t be done this summer. I have any 2 classics that are roadworthy so I’ll be using them for local shows
