Dave Knight Posted December 12, 2024 Report Posted December 12, 2024 (edited) https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/mk1-ford-escort-back-production-296bhp Nearly 300 grand! And they’ll all sell. Interesting set up on the axle and rear shocks. Edited December 12, 2024 by Dave Knight
Xp197777 Posted December 12, 2024 Report Posted December 12, 2024 £300 grand for an escort rather have an original one 4
Vista Estate Posted December 12, 2024 Report Posted December 12, 2024 Well if I'm picky the headlights look shit, the interior has Morris Minor interior door handles, seats look like an off the shelf pair, red piping does nothing for styling and those bubble arches 🤔. You could build something much better for less and have a unique car not 1 of 150. Selected buyers will no doubt have head up their own arse and be a wannabe celeb. On the good side, as it's new it won't be on here 🤣
Dave Knight Posted December 12, 2024 Author Report Posted December 12, 2024 All good points mate. I don’t know why they have to meddle. Should leave well alone, like the pile of shite the Capri. There’s a Ford garage up the road from me, it’s shite and is the same weight at the space station. 1
accord83 Posted December 13, 2024 Report Posted December 13, 2024 Rear cage and 3 point inertia reels? What's the point, unless it's one of those "Nova" plastic plumbing ones😁 Buy a couple of real ones and a garage to put them in.
Dave Knight Posted December 13, 2024 Author Report Posted December 13, 2024 Do you think with the onset of these purportedly, ‘new Escorts’ it will drive prices even higher for the original ones, bearing in mind they are through the roof already.
Xp197777 Posted December 13, 2024 Report Posted December 13, 2024 I expect they’ll be a mk two next 2
