Moderator Rally Pack 2000 Posted Friday at 13:59 Moderator Report Posted Friday at 13:59 Who makes a decent non Chinese 205 60 13in tyre? Tyres available here are generally different to there but its really slim pickings here. There is an Australian made classic type called Simmons but on the performance side I think they are as hard as blocks of wood. So may have to import something instead. Is the Dunlop Sport Classic still available?
Miniliteman Posted Friday at 14:40 Report Posted Friday at 14:40 I had Dunlop 205/60/13 tyres on the front wheel of the arched car. Nothing wrong with them but last time I checked they were f00king expensive!
Miniliteman Posted Friday at 15:11 Report Posted Friday at 15:11 BTW, for what rim? I wouldn't put a 205/60 on a 6 inch rim. Had that many years ago and it didn't work. Suitable for a 7.5J or wider. If you want tyres for the 6x13 just use a 175/70 or 185/70 (CN36), 185/60 (too low for me).

They were made in France I believe. 24 minutes ago, Miniliteman said: BTW, for what rim? I wouldn't put a 205/60 on a 6 inch rim. Had that many years ago and it didn't work. Yes they are for 6in rims specifically the ones I am searching for in my other thread. I have always had 205s on 6in rims for decades. Currently I have Japanese made Falkens on it at the moment but they are years past their expiry date. Just found the other sizes too narrow. I dont need them much for wet weather or icy conditions here.
dasadrew Posted Friday at 20:08 Report Posted Friday at 20:08 Over here (Germany) the 205's were the homologated tyre for the 6" rims:

How would they be on the street and in the wet do you think?
Admin Vista Posted 8 hours ago Admin Report Posted 8 hours ago I use road legal motorsport tyres on my van (Avon Motorsport ZZS, though they are now branded as Nova Motorsport) and though I don't often take it out when it's really wet, I haven't ever had any problems when I have been caught out out with it in the wet. 1

They look magnificent! Do you know if they offer them in 205s?
