RedditchJay Posted March 19, 2007 Author Report Posted March 19, 2007 Vista I have emailed Steve with a cash offer for his car and or my Mexico in PX........ no reply yet... it's not going to be a cheap car and could be outside my budget..... there are soem Cossie MK2 on ebay BUT I am old skool and like the Pinto.... its an old power unit and easy to wwork on or repair if it goes bang.... Cossies go bang its BIG £££££....

If 90% of the weekends are road based then you'd probably be better off keeping the Mex & carrying out sensible mods. You can still sprint & hillclimb it, there are plenty of cars that drive to Gurston or Castle Coombe, lob out the back seats and spare wheel & have a go. If you get hooked then think about a change. There is another option - a non Ford (ducks for cover) sprint car, there's some very light nimble Novas & Pugs out there for peanuts, not forgetting Fiestas too. Depends if it has to be OSF...
tim Posted March 19, 2007 Report Posted March 19, 2007 isnt the mex an RS,RS=rallye sport,it was built to be used in competiton,mk1 mex is proberly the closest road goin escort to the rally version,bubbles arches cage etc were all sold by ford for your ford so why not use it,only goin 2 go up in value if its all done right
