For some reason, I found that comment hillarious However, I will not be there, I keep saying that I will check the Ace out on some other meets along side my favourite OSF one, but never seem to get time! I must get up there to see the Mods & Mini's meet, that sounds good

Its a shame ,cos osf could've had a great meet up there last night I don't think negative comments such as chavs and the like will help tho, would have been nice to had an old skool evening meet there like the old days I hope that the Ace management don't read comments like that on this site. puddy

I have been a member of the nsra,and I found a very similar attitude at times with them, "it was alright to do it when we were kids,but they are chavs if they do the same now" Come on ,like I said,we could have rooooooled last night! puddy
omj624p Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 I work close to Ace so I popped by for a look. It was very quiet except for the odd car doing a mad dash down the road. The police were there keeping things calm, but didnt seem to care about the cars speeding by. Most of the car park was very empty and could very well have been filled up with us OSFers. The funny bit was there were crowds hanging round the mini roundabout waiting for some action - just like the good old days, but since the police were there nothing happened. I think I'll turn up in my RS next month, just for a laugh.

I have been a member of the nsra,and I found a very similar attitude at times with them, "it was alright to do it when we were kids,but they are chavs if they do the same now" Come on ,like I said,we could have rooooooled last night! puddy Mark, I make you about right, The youf of today are no worse than we were, For example, Chelsea Cruise back in the 70s Trinity Road, where organised drag racing racing went on, I can remember some pretty tasteless cars up there, Richard Grant body kits, Jack up kits, Performance tires that would look better today on 4x4 today, Thrush side pipes, and on and on, deffo no worse than the plastic fantastics that are about. they are probably no more tasteless than the cars that were about when we were young, But not to our taste, At the end of the day, Mostly, its a fashion thing, and lets admit it there are a few Fashion items we have owned that you wont admit to now, but were way cool when you were young. I could get all evangelical about this----------------------suppose it may be down to haveing a 20 year old who has done the Saxo,Clio thing, and is now building a Mk1 Escort, bit ratty, Xflow for now, but plans for a NA cossy are well under way. Ian
