my red 1600 mk1 capri

well now the insurance has agreed a payout, and ive bought it back from them, im not sure what to do with it. its still taxed until the end of august. but with my cologne mk1 nearly finished, i dont know if im going to get time to fix it up.

so the choices are;

do i sell it as it is? , giving someone else the chance to fix it, although i dont know what its worth in its current condition (i do have a replacement wing). under the bonnet, top plates are original and very good, as is chassis, and its an excellent runner.

do i break it for spares?, to help keep a few other mk1s on the road, as theres plenty of good parts on it.

or do i keep it and lock it away and get round to fixing it some day whenever i get time?

what do you think?

dont break it if its solid!!

stick it on the 'bay and see if it creates any interest (if you can stand the naff questions) and if not, store it away for a rainy day

If the pre accident condition was good (you know not a rotbox) and if youve got the room to store the old girl up then id keep it, be such a shame to break it up for parts, the damage doesnt look that bad, i know bits will be a git to get hold of but im sure it can be fixed.....so my verdict is keep the old girl and give her another chance!! :thumbsup:

I've got a front end off a Mk3 if you need it for the repair (scuttle panel, headlight bowls, valance). Valance may be no good but the don't know what the difference is for a mK1 Facelift (I have a pre-facelift). we cut it off wing-to-wing off a mates car -don't know what he wants for it?
