back in the day, we drove a 1.3 everywhere, but today, I would be frightened fartless of having to stop at a motorway services and coming out to the car having been stolen
but as far as displaying the car at a show like the NEC, that car needs to arrive spotlessly clean, that cannot happen if you drive it there, especially this time of year
I have yet to see Colins Cortina, but however, if its like I imagine it to be, it will be clean enough in every crevice to eat your dinner off of, and that in itself tells you he has built a display car, not a daily driver, and like me, gets his pleasure from sitting looking at the car and saying, I built that, that's mine, and not through driving it all over, and like me would be distraught at the dirt getting where you cant get rid of it, let alone if it was involved in an accident or even worse, stolen
