  5. oh almost forgot, you gotta wear a string vest over that hairy chest lol
  6. don't forget, we gotta make Colin feel at home, so the northern show way is, you gotta bring your folding table and chairs, tartan blanket and a picnic, set that lot up behind the car, and sit there with your hanky on your head tied at all 4 corners, and when the public ask questions, just ignore them as tho they weren't there, oh and don't forget to put the retro radio on the back seat

Hi Scott I have just ordered 3 polo shirts for the NEC, that part went all fine, but at the same time I was going to re-new the cult of osf, but it wont let me, it says ive already ordered one and can only order the one, mine has run out, so don't think that applies lol can you have a look at for me pls
  8. ive never had to clean or polish mine, better take a trip to Halfrauds then lol I was due to take mine to the NEC a few years ago, but it never got finished in time, however, the advice I was given at the time, was to take a car cover to put over it over night, as the dust generated by all the walkers during the day settles overnight, covering the cars in dust that has to be cleaned off before opening the next day, but a good quality cover limits the cleaning
  9. is that Sarf Essex Sarfend, or was you generalising
  10. as the crow flies, mines 2 mins walk, but because of fencing etc and roads around the nec, its a 20 min taxi journey, the 3 nights come to £360 for some reason, Saturday night is a very expensive night compared to thu and fri
  11. take the pop bottles back lol, now theres your age coming out Colin lol, or do they still do that up north been saying for ages, that's where recycling should go back to read the docs, as far as I understand what I read, and I may be wrong, as everyone interprets differently, you will have to either go to the post office, or apply online for your tax, depending on first historic tax or continuing, at that point, everyone with a classic car over 40 years old will have to specify, yes or no that their car has been modified, if you state no when it has been, then drive it, your driving an illegal car, if you say yes, the tax will be refused, then from there, you have to decide which test your vehicle needs to remain on the road, and until its gone thru that and you have either your Q plate or modern registration no. your off the road that's just the way I read the documents, I know some clubs, especially in the hot rod side, are saying to members its all rubbish and wont and cant happen, but that may be because they are mainly imports I don't know, the rules may be different for imports
  12. if you read the document, a review will happen, cant remember the exact year, but around 2025
  13. if you read the document, its about complying with EU legislation, and its not a DVLA thing, although they will use the DVLA pointing system to help enforce it, the draft guidance will be updated in November, and it will be law as of 20th May 18, you will have to declare when you tax your car, if its mot exempt or heavily modified, if modified, and if it dosnt meet 8 points, you will have to go through the re registration process, one doc contradicts another at the moment over mods carried out prior to 1988, but its an EU directive that all modified cars are still MOTd, I would imagine there will be something come in to control or effectively make illegal any false declarations, but at the mo, that's not mentioned
  14. that's basically the way I read it Colin
  15. gasless migs were designed for working outside, they are also a higher current rating to start, and as a result tend to just blow holes in car panels horses for courses, but for a car, stick to conventional gassed mig, or as said, if you can, TIG
  16. and if I have read it correctly, if you do not qualify for the 40 year exemption, it means you will either have to have a new registration or a Q plate, depending on why your vehicle dosnt qualify
  17. LMFAO this is going to be a good few days for the benefit of the northern section Laugh My Foo*in Arse Off
  18. even worse Colin, your surrounded by Essex boys lol
  19. well done, see you there there was autojumble last time I went, though time was running out so didn't get to see much of it, and I think it was more nos than used crap lol, on their site plan theres still an autojumble area this year,
  20. where are you taking Micky then Colin, for a walk ????
  21. colin was getting a bit worried about being in the midst of all the escort boys lol
  22. tried to talk a guy with a mint 1300E into it yesterday at the Battlesbridge show he said he would look at it, but it would probably be too long a drive, especially the time of year, coupled with the cost of hotac etc he would also need to join osf shame, he had 2 of them, but recently sold the beige mint one, which then went up for sale again with a well known classic dealer, but he has a gold minter as well
