  1. Scott my window sticker arrived, but having just opened it, its not the right one, the one I wanted wsas the multi coloured one in the store if the link works its this one
  2. back in the day, we drove a 1.3 everywhere, but today, I would be frightened fartless of having to stop at a motorway services and coming out to the car having been stolen but as far as displaying the car at a show like the NEC, that car needs to arrive spotlessly clean, that cannot happen if you drive it there, especially this time of year I have yet to see Colins Cortina, but however, if its like I imagine it to be, it will be clean enough in every crevice to eat your dinner off of, and that in itself tells you he has built a display car, not a daily driver, and like me, gets his pleasure from sitting looking at the car and saying, I built that, that's mine, and not through driving it all over, and like me would be distraught at the dirt getting where you cant get rid of it, let alone if it was involved in an accident or even worse, stolen Horses for Courses as they say
  3. and Stephen is easily distinguishable with the car that resembles a barn find after the drive up there in the rain
  4. well it takes an Essex man to get the link to work, but being half deaf these days I cant hear what's being said sadly but I take it we look for Colin on Thursday morning as a man like an Andy Capp figure with a flat cap, roll up hanging from the corner of his mouth, a whippet in one arm a ferret in the other and a homing pigeon down his trousers, and at lunch time sits in the canteen eating mushy peas and drinking Yorkshire ale, and farting for England
  5. i can re-store one Colin, but it goes to show it wasn't worth taking out of storage in the first place, specially if you have to pay for the storage, that's why we invented breakers yards lol
  6. bit like the capri, everyone thinks its after the isle of capri, but alas no, ford name thinkers had to drop a letter and add letters over a few beers in the pub, it was supposed to say CRAP, but then went to CRAPRI after crap was considered too gentlemanly a name for SH1T design, and then it was shortened, because they didn't want ladies getting offended by both the car and its name
  7. and the sight f the toilet bowl as it makes you wanna throw up I should think
  8. we aren't talking about escort agencies Stephen, you need to get back on the subject of cars lol
  9. speak for yourself, obviously a Capri owner thing, nothing to do wif Essex
  10. it would, you know the postman
  11. obviously a northern link just like the northerners IT DONT WORK
  12. I think as he was talking about Mark Almond, he could have been referring to an arse crack lol
  13. so there's plenty of room up there for Collins Horses then
  14. so basically, I assume, your going to be up the lorry park end of the south car parks, for the extra bay length Gary
  15. My plan is, that unless its raining whilst unloading outside and taking in, it wont need cleaning when I get there Stephen on the other hand will need another valeting team, having driven it 120 miles through the English winter weather
  16. that said, I suppose there's two of you that we wont be able to miss Stephen who started off with the cleanest car, but arrives with the dirtiest car because his driven it there in the English winter weather and then there's pikey Colin who has trailered his car there with horse and cart
  17. just a thought here are we going to all meet in the same car park on the Thursday morning, if so which one I know south, but theres a choice of 4 over to you Gary
  18. on a NOS basis yes, but second hand ones are easy to get, but as Colin says, most are damaged, but you do get some good ones, and with a paint strip, polish and re paint can look like new again, better to buy genuine if you can
  19. they usually appear on flea bay, and to ensure you are getting a genuine ford one, make sure its still in its wooden crate, the last one is saw and bought was a few years ago, and I paid just over £200 for it, it depends on who wants it on the day really
  20. the pattern ones I have, the fit isn't too bad tbh, but the quality of the finish against a ford one very poor, they are obviously very poorly pressed out the one in the picture looks the wrong shape around the lights, but it could just be the angle and photo, I will look later when I'm up the workshop
  21. apart from there appears to be a lot of black paint missing, but that could be the photos, there seems to be something not right about that grill, that I just cant put my finger on I'm guessing its a pattern and not genuine ford, as oblong genuine ford fetch a lot more than £80, and a good pattern still makes over £100 will look at my ones tomorrow and see if I can pin point it
  22. its also quite concerning, that this site creates stalkers since this thread started, ive had 2 notifications hat 2 are users are following me
  23. are you using them for the appraisals on the cars then Colin
  24. just don't beat around the bush colin, tell it the way it is theyre a shower of SH1T as far as I'm concerned so if you've no complaint, I don't bloody believe it lol
  25. and you wonder why the competition is cheaper lol not only are you difficult to deal with, and yes that's personal experience, its things like this that makes companies un-competitively priced why not just stick to insurance
