  1. I don't know it but if you put some more info up and a picture or two I reckon you'd have more chance of someone being able to help you
  2. Cheers dt36. I've bought one of the fancy led fuse boxes from 12v planet so hopefully that'll be good.
  3. Cheers. I do want to know which fuse does what though aswell because I need to trace an earth problem I've got and also I can't tell what ratings the current fuses are
  4. Howdie ! Could anyone tell me / point me in the direction of where I'd find out what fuses do what on my mk2 1300 Escort please. I'm looking to change the fuse box to a more modern one with the blade type fuses but I'm not sure what the fuse ratings are & which fuses do what etc. Cheers in advance Darren
  5. Pumpidy pump it is then by the sounds of it. Cheers everyone
  6. I'm not after a fast tickover - just a choke so that I don't have to play Russian roulette when I turn the key every day to use the car
  7. Excuse the probably daft question but can I put an automatic choke on twin 40's without using some kind of management ? If the answer is yes, what & where do I need to go to get this sorted ? Cheers Darren
  8. Put the 300 dabs towards dry lining, insulating and venting your garage. That way you can drive your car when you want but also tinker with it without getting wet or damaging the carcoon
  9. Try HMT Shipping in Longridge, Preston. Failing that where's jct 14 ? I'm going to Greenock and then Balfron at the end of next week if that's any good ?
  10. Cool ! More pics needed though
  11. I found myself watching a Wheeler Dealers for some reason over the weekend and your man China was fitting a new wiring loom to whatever car they were working on. Anyway this loom was made up on a board before being sleeved with the tubular mesh type sheathing (sorry, don't know what the proper name for it is) and the ends had yellow or white labels heat shrunk onto them next to the proper modern type connectors. So my question is, where can you get these labels and connectors from ? I've done a quick Google for them and found loads of places for automotive wiring but non that do wiring labels. Cheers Darren
  12. As far as I knew The Escort Agency don't / wouldn't do shell prep only. I asked him about doing shell prep ready for paint on my mk2 RS and it was a flat no. Said he'd only do turnkey projects now. He seemed a very nice and knowledgeable bloke though
  13. No question really - crossflow all the way for me
  14. mk2 mike - where & when is the OSF summer show ? I'm ooop north in sunny Lancashire but am down south is reasonably regularly so might be worth the extra distance ?
  15. +1 Classic ford show takes some beating, especially when the weathers nice
  16. I do like pintos but have my heart set on a nice little throaty crossflow really
  17. Vista & marky4 - I've driven my mates mk2 grp4 which has no servo and I quite liked it once I got used to it. Saying that his has AP brakes whereas mine will probably have the more conventional princess type of setup but even so, the feeling of no servo didn't make me think f#ck !!!!!!!!! Am considering an uprated pedal box though to eliminate any flex etc
  18. Why do you have to have solid discs instead of vented ?
  19. Cheers cocker ! I'll give them a try
  20. Hi, my mate has a mk1 mexico that he's had for donkeys but the VIN tags have seen better days. Are these reproduced anywhere ? He's got the log book and a few pictures of the car from when he last used it if this sort of info is needed / helpful ? Cheers Darren
  21. I assume you could fit grp4 inserts but im not sure TBH. Don't think I'm going to sell em. I've had em for years and might put them on an arched mk1 if I can find one !
  22. I might be making this up but im sure someone told me once that this car had a crossflow in it ?!!!
  23. Yep, that definitely is one hell of a video !
