  2. why don't you just buy a fly off kit and adapt your existing lever, cost about £15 ish that way you retain your cable set up and wont have 2 levers. I used to have one of these kits on my mk2 road rally set up with 3ltr capri rear drums and worked superbly
  3. how about if you used your no claims on the escort, it may put premium up on the daily but better to have higher insurance on the daily and insurance on the classic than none on the one you want the most, just a thought

  10. i got a 4 spd 2.0 cortina box which are pretty much same as rs2 box with a cast bellhousing, im in plymouth and could strap to a pallet if needed

  14. I can raise you on that to I've been taking the bus And just as I start to use the local bus service they announce that they're axing it and replacing it with a bus to the local hospital! Useful for the 0.1% of the time that I'm sick or dying, but about as welcome as a fart in a dry suit for the rest of the time!! ok if you get a free bus pass i suppose!

  19. the brakes will fit as long as you use the complete set up, ie backplates and shoes and drums
  20. i run the pc680 and mines left for weeks at a time and its always started when needed to, a little trick i used to do was add extra earth straps, battery to earth battery to engine engine to chassis creates a triangle and i never had issues with starting if you fit one of those little solar chargers sat on rear parcel shelf might help as well

  22. Mate is looking for a rear bumper to help finish off his mk2 cortina, doesnt want a perfect one but as long as it looks presentable and not rusty. He has a series one mk2 cortina centre console (one without the handbrake hole) which he will consider a px or a swap for the right rear bumper

I have for sale a mk3 capri atlas axle casing only, its 52" flange to flange from a 2ltr capri, the shafts, diff unit and brakes and rear cover are gone, the diff retaining caps are there. i was going to keep it as a spare but to be honest the chances of me breaking mine are slim so its just taking up space. collection only from plymouth £120
