  1. way i see the program is to show people that they can buy these cars and with some mechanical savvy actually spend less than market value, just watched the one where they bought a morgan and made over £6k profit
  2. as long as we dont have to park next to any pansy wagons, risk of rust transfer !
  3. more the better, any respectable engine builder will tell you the same about a hot xflow
  4. i managed to buy a mk2 1100 with my initials on SRK 455R
  5. modified xflows love to breathe, hotter the motor the more it needs to breathe, fit more breather outlets
  6. and me!!
  7. at present he is in sunny italy on the cortina trip
  8. do you mean the big thick plastic mouldings? if so why not use a piece of mig wire and two pairs of pliers, tuck the wire behind the trim and one end and then just pull the pliers thru the double sided tape, stops them getting distorted and minimal damage
  9. line up your wing so that it sits where you want it then drill thru the flange and use riv nuts
  10. sounds good i will be there!
  11. the venues owner was not interested in how the event was run but how much money they could rape in! was told he was determined to make £60k min
  12. well malcolm you didnt miss much, after being raped for £12 entry then told it was another £3 for a program. then had to walk through a mud pit across a field, they were completely unready for spectators. Places to view the track were limited and over crowded, the grandstand they set up was being charged another £15 to use. Spoke a friend of mine who was on the rescue unit and it was about how much money they could make. A local pasty firm was ready to donate 150 free pasties for the officials and marshalls but told to go away as the catering was being done by the owners friend. Even heard rumours that the MSA were having doubts that the venue was suitable or safe after about 10 cars all went off at same place. Another competitor slid on the grass all the way down a bank and into a parked trailer writing off his subaru. Can safely say i will never visit this venue again let alone consider it as a viable event to compete on
  13. there are several texaco sites around this area and they range from 138.9p per litre upto 144.9p per litre for deisel. these sites are literally only a couple miles apart as well!

  18. Route 38 meet? is there one coming up??
  19. Guy who built the engine has been known to get over 200 from a 1.4. If you look closer at os rear light there is bit of give away

  21. it was very entertaining on way to the mot station, then add a splash of rain just for grin factor!
  22. got it end of last year but ive just taken my time to get it all done right first time and sort other bits on the way, and it was well worth the wait as she sounds mental
  23. lined up for the mot ramp, and 40 mins later its all passed, brakes showed 75% efficiency which isnt too bad considering the pads had only done about 2 miles to the mot station, showed 890kgs on the rollers with the driver included which equates to about 800kgs with 238bhp
  24. weather looks good for tomorrow does anyone know the location details or where i can find them?
  25. put a 1/2 spacer between the chassis rail and the cross member, this will drop the engine down a bit and then allow you to raise the box tail shaft up
