Good news for Old Skool Ford members
accord83 replied to Jayne Abbeyfields's topic in OLD SKOOL FORD CHAT
Do you do multi car classic insurance? -
James, a Swap Donkey is a transgender porn star from Germany.😱 A Swamp Donkey is a farm essential, slowly rotting away in the long grass, only to be revived by a 14yr old to do a beer run without using the Kings highway when everyone else is harvesting.😁
-
I like a Corrado, and if I needed a city car the Up would be on my list.
-
I served my time as a fitter building printing presses at MGD (Goss's) in Preston. At 20 I worked in the Heavy Erection Shop (big presses}, so I was a heavy erection fitter, handy job title if you were on the pull😂🤣
-
Hit my 7th decade this year, as long as I wake up with a pulse I consider it a bonus, and if I feel down I just start my old Xflow and even a 10 minute drive has me grinning like a happy monkey. Welcome to the Monkey house!😂

He looks embarrassed to be claimed to be the real Scoobie-Doo
-
I'd love an early Scoobie, bog standard in red please.😂 (or a Gravel Express, just to be different)

K&N Air Filter for Mk2 RS2000 / Mexico vs Paper
accord83 replied to Rally Pack 2000's topic in OLD SKOOL FORD CHAT
Ah, that's me told, I was thinking tarmac. -
The 309 is a Marmite car, some like it, some think it's fugly, I found they handled better than it's cute little 205 sister, which was a bit nose heavy. If 309's were good enough for Richard Burns, Colin McCrae, and Louise Aitkin Walker, who am I to argue! (and find another red 3dr) Some years ago I missed out on a Dangel 505 4x4 estate, one of life's regrets. What a retro service barge it would have made. The wedge shouldn't have been made, should have gone straight to Ambassador, hatchback, and no big C pillars so better all round vision. Oh, and they should have been built instead of chucked together🤣

Ford Escort A Winner's Car book on sale

There are some black and white pictures for colouring in with crayons too!😂 -
As I'm getting (got) old, I decided to sell the Triumph and buy a sensible family hatchback. This arrived 3 weeks ago.

K&N Air Filter for Mk2 RS2000 / Mexico vs Paper

Why would they not clean after oiling, is that between races or after a meeting? Surely the filters could be solvent washed and left to dry before re-oiling in normal usage? -
I had a PiperX that came with a carb, went straight to my K&N, I didn't fancy the fire risk. The PiperX then proceeded to disintegrate over a couple of years sat on a shelf. Mmmmm🤔 If I was using the engine in a single seat race car where I could keep an eye on it and not just jump in and drive, I might give a PiperX a go though.

Anyone dabbled with Windscreen Locking Strip Tools?
accord83 replied to Rally Pack 2000's topic in OLD SKOOL FORD CHAT
James, it looks like it'll peel spuds too, charge it to the housekeeping budget, Result!👍 -
Venetian Gold, would that be a run out model that Ford tarted up as it was sold parallel to the first Mk1 Escort to clear the stock. An old lady near to us bought one, she kept it beautiful, when she stopped driving it was left in a damp asbestos garage and she wouldn't sell. sadly when she died it had rust holes on every panel and got scrapped.

Love the long roof! My first car was an Anglia 1200 Super, it had so much filler in it, if i had hit someone the'd have died of asbestosis. It had a partial wooden floor too, but at 16 getting ready for my 17th birthday I didn't care.
-
So, can you spot the fake mk1 RS2000 in the article
accord83 replied to Vista's topic in OLD SKOOL FORD CHAT
Yup! -
Those damn glue lactating bovines, start of many on a slippery slope........... Maybe that's why Maggie Thatcher stopped free school milk in schools.🤔
-
Definitely for dry climates as no hood fitments, and not a looker either.
-
😂 James, your sense of taste might be functioning, but I'd question your sense of smell, rancid milk stinks!
-
No problems here in Shropshire, Ray.
-
Who moderates the moderators James?🤣 It's still offensive, even in Modena Green, rolling it in glitter won't improve it.
-
My Saturday job was working for a farmer who supplied guest houses in Blackpool with eggs, and also poultry at Christmas, I was his ghillie, rowing his fishing boat on Windermere, beater when on pre-Christmas feral cat hunts, helped doing deliveries, and did general odds and sods on his caravan site. He was a mate of my dad and my main aim was to get out alive! I got a fiver a day.
-
That is offensive, MODERATORS!!!! It looks like an Escort that has been defiled by a Simca 1300 and 10kg of filler. I think it's AI, well I hope it is.
-
Is it on a Land Rover chassis? Lowered and on sensible sized wheels I think I would like it, buuuuut, It would be not too different to a normal shell unless it was hatchbacked, and that would be heresy! The more I look at it, the more I dislike it. Close but no cigar.
