    Leaving OSF!

@katanaAs some one who is less able, having a left side that is wilful and can withdraw it's labour at the most inconvenient of times, and a knackered back, this breaks my heart. I know the effort and sheer frustration of what you suffer when doing 'simple' jobs. Don't leave on bad terms. hold your head high and think, I did it, I did it my way, and it worked for me, I built a usable car not a trailer queen. Good luck in the future and maybe one day you will return with another blue oval car.
  2. Is it me? We're talking Ford panel fit here, not Merc W123, I consider myself fortunate that I had one door on each side, not two doors on one side and one door on the other.😂
  3. Wide angle lens to get his beaming head in?😂
  4. Sorry, I'm easily side trac OOOH LOOK! A multi coloured mouse, must have escaped from Maccy D's.😂
  5. James, it helps to be slightly mentally askew to the rational world, but looking at the news and behaviour of the so called civilised world, I'm glad I am.😜
  6. James, I've seen worse doing the walk of shame first thing on a Sunday morning!😂😂
  7. Don't do yourself down James, scrubbed up, and in the yellow glow of a street lamp, you'll do.😂😂
  8. Busy doing nothing, Winnie the Pooh.
  9. Quality work there James, now step away from the car and don't drive until you've been to the optician........😵‍💫😂
  10. James, I'm currently spraying four rattle can tops in satin black just for you. The RS centre stickers are on their way from China and as soon as I can marry them up they're yours. No, there is no need to thank me. John.
  11. Those ladies helped me through puberty!😂😂
  12. Only when the radio told me to back off!😂
  13. Love you too James😂
  14. Before I retired I was often called a big cult, I think that's what I was called, so I naturally gravitated to here.
  15. Knowing my luck it will have been clocked, got a leaky exhaust and had a floorpan that was originally an Opel Adam, but had the stick shift removed.
  16. @Rally Pack 2000That’s so sad James, you must regard yourself as a missionary spreading the word, 13” is plenty! (That sounds slightly rude🤔)
  17. I have had dealings through an acquaintance of SA imports, this guys are the best filler sculptors in the world........... The X$ 4x4 deal fell through today, so I think I’ll keep the Victor and sort out the Escort for rear belts, much cheaper too. (unless something wanders across my path that catches my attention😂).
  18. 🤔Mmmm, in the old days before y’all decided as a nation that bad taste was something to be excelled at James? 😂🤣
  19. Many Thanks for the advice gents, @Rally Pack 2000 James, I'm struggling to find a way to fit child seat harnesses in the back without ruining the arch trims, and even then the angle might be wrong. The load floor has the tank under it, so again an interior wrecker. It came from the factory with lap belt fitments, and saloons have a mount in the C pillar, but estate pillars are too narrow. I was just thinking out of the box, rare, fast, classic(ish) Ford with a full set of safety belts and all the toys. @disco_monkey79I would like an XR4, but the 4x4 has more doors, so more practical. @mpdevelopments.uk Fuel costs? The Victor is about 23/24mpg on premium unleaded, I could get 8mpg out of my P6b V8 if I was trying, If I get 26 on a run it’ll be a refreshing change!😂 I don’t think I’ve met your girlfriend so I cannot comment......😂 @dxcgnocDave, The only thing that worries me is specific parts availability, apparently new ABS pumps are made of unobtainium,
  20. Anyone? Are they that dire then? Hmmm?🤔
  21. I have seen a Sierra XR4i 4x4 2.9i I fancy, but know three fifths of sod all about them, easy of maintenance, repairs, running costs, reliability etc. Soooo I though I would plumb the depths of Old Skool Ford and see if any one will come out of the closet and admit to running/working on one. Cheers in advance, John.
  22. I can remember seeing a pearl pink, bubble arched, 1600gt badged estate in Richmond great park in about 1971, I was told it was a special build for someone connected to the Royal Family. (But that bit might be the round ones)
  23. Cars are back on mine now,
