  1. When I was 9yrs old I would think I was the mutts nuts if I'd done that to an old field car.
  2. 11K a year in a Series Landrover? Hell in 1981 I had a Series 2A with a 4203 Perkins in 1981, 11 miles was enough. It was a Nuffield tractor with a roof, numb steering, suspension, and every thing I take for granted now, heater, wipers, insulation, brakes, non leaking, etc was useless. But it would pull a house down and cruise at 60 with high ratio diffs. You're a brave man!
  3. As a passenger, many years ago when I was19 and supple, I got in one. Getting out saw me wriggling into the gutter praying no dog had crapped there. Bloody awful pointless devices!
  4. My son made me a shelf for my garage wall, the tyre is of a Porsche 935 which did the Nurburgring 24hr. He brought it back from the Spa 6hrs this year. His company had a stall there. My mate bought me a tin sign for the wall. And my wife bought me a W.T. Author 1968 Automotive Edition watch, (I asked for the Gulf shades) https://wtauthor.com/chapters/automotive-watches/ All in all, Result!! But the tyre will take some hanging where its 15" depth won't be in the way.
  5. I always wanted a Scimitar but a just shy of 6'6" they are too tight in the cab for me.
  6. I'm already a cult, at least that's what I think people say as I pass by.......🤔
  7. With an RPG......
  8. I remember when I was eleven, going into the chemists with a a couple of mates and a shopping list, "Making gunpowder lads?" "Yes" "Be careful now" "We will, we're only blowing up tree stumps" Happier more carefree times.
  9. In my youth I would have, but in age comes wisdom!
  10. CAD* body kit, love it. *CAD Cardboard Aided Design
  11. It's a rear wing, you can see the soft top from, and the door shut line looks nothing like the Dino's to me. I'm thinking TVR Chimera.
  12. Wow! And we thought we had it crap. So much for the Ramsey Street, Crocodile Dundee lifestyle stereotypes. But hey, at least the Americans named your big wheel craze after a national hero, Donk. So it's not all bad.......😂
  13. It took some finding, every car I looked at was described as excellent, mint, beautiful etc. In fact the upholstery looked like it had been trimmed by Edward Scissorhands after a night on the beer, or a CSI crime scene, a £10 hookers bed sheets, or smelt like a dead badger had been kept under the back seat. I have actually put my fingers through one cars sill (12month MOT). I paid over the odds for a low miler with full service history but I'm not sure if I've gelled with it, I wanted wind in my hair motoring, and I'm bald as a coot and just shy of 6'6" tall, so it might be going after two years of ownership.
  14. Is that Jeremy Corbyn on Friday morning?
  15. I have a Mk 1 Cabriolet, and sometimes I wished I'd remained clueless!!
  16. I'd have let her in her youth, but she aint getting her laughing tackle any where near my quarter pounder with cheese now!!
  17. That isn't graceful, got old after a quick nip round Maccy D's drive through and a tuck into too many Big Mac and fries more like.
  18. That's because he smoked the contents of the plant pots before he got the idea for making such such a fine carriage
  19. An Escort Eco Tree Hugger special edition.
  20. I suppose it could be slightly improved if instead of being parked next to the tree, it was wrapped around it.
  21. Take the stickers out of the windscreen and I'd have it! This would confirm in the eyes of any doubters the good taste and sartorial elegance I'm known for.
  22. I bet that's agile through the bends........
  23. They might have a shed, that might be the used parts department!😁
