  1. Good to see you've got another venue John. I liked the Greyhound but I think a little bit impractical for us due to lighting & location. Just a bit further for me to travel to!
  2. Nice meeting you last night mate, seeing pics of your fiesta in daylight looks awesome! Kris
  3. Looking for another OSF to replace my Alfa (I must be mad!) as a change in life is needed. Want to replace the Alfa with a nice saloon Ford. Would love really good condition in either model, ideally most of all rust restored, nice interior, engine size no major preference. Budget £3k. Please PM me. CheeRS
  4. I would love to but I just don't have the money. I'd love a clean Escort like that

  6. I saw this parked at Old Ford Autos as it needed work whilst it was probably in your posession. It was very nice indeed.
  7. It was a little different but the LEDs & the wheels just didn't go. The colour I thought was weird but just right. as for Mike's dad owning Pinball Wizard, wasn't it in StreetMachine years ago? Someone could enlighten us? I'm sure that even they couldn't BS the hot rod/OSF/gasser guys on TV. As for Tims Gasser Cave, it's local to me so I'm going to have to find it sometime.
  8. Yellow one is Darrens. Blue one I saw was in Mychett recently. May turn up at the Quays tomorrow night?

  10. I don't think the old Ford scene has finished, I echo many people's thoughts about life getting in the way (Sierra P100 project has been sitting on my driveway for 8 years) & it seems more younger guys have got into the scene. The Surrey Capri Club has seen an increase of new members come in with Capris, mostly between 20 & 25. And the amount of people that turned up to the Greyhound meet the other night despite being dark as hell shows there is enough respect out there. My Capri has just had an engine rebuild &'ve been itching to drive it. Had it back 2 weeks & clocked up 750 miles random driving running in. Park up places & people come have a chat about the Capri. Not gonna stop using it as the daily. My biggest bugbear is with people who spend thousands getting a car restored & then don't drive it. Get the fook out & drive it YKT! And if you can't sell it to someone who will.
  11. Will make it still running in my engine & have missed these latest events already
  12. Well it would be rude not to go, I live about 1 mile away! I'll have to bring the Capri down though
  13. The 7th Ace Café Capri Day is happening this Saturday . The car park is fully booked, but we want everyone with a Capri to attend. Park up along the roadside, come & have a look around. Starts at 11am. Great place to meet & great OSFs. Going to be a great day out!
  14. Killed it. Seemingly, after a head rebuild the bottom end decided to reject it after 1000 miles & now there's a ton of blue smoke billowing out the back burning oil like buggery. Bottom end rebuild now......
  15. Modena Green was apparently available between 73 & 77, so the answer was probably no, unless it was on a very early Mk3. Lovely collection of cars you've had there too!
  16. Anybody going down Chelsea Cruise this weekend? Not sure if I will be as been roped into dinner & movie with the girlfriend (no bad thing) but she may be up for it after
  17. Good man glad you enjoyed it, & Essex is a spiritual home of Ford. Need to get back down Southend at some point
  18. Got one on my Capri. Mixed reviews about it from people but although mine was a pain to fit right some tweaking helped. Sounds nice too. Might be easier fitting on an Escort though.
  19. Buy the Sierra, take out the Pinto, tune it, stick it in a Capri, job done. Use the Sierra with a 2.9 Cologne or Cosworth 24Valver. Apart from the age & type of car, stick around, because it's worth getting a wealth of info here on Pintos.
  20. Stick with a Pinto
  21. One thing I am proud of is running the Surrey Capri Club. As anybody who runs local clubs or organises meets & events, it takes a lot of planning, dedication & organisation. Ok, so I have a co-chairman to help me, but for a lot of the admin required I do it, & coupled with the fact that since we took over in 2011 I've had many close family issues to deal with which frankly added to me losing my job & bringing me almost to breaking point, i knew I had a purpose to run the club & keep myself together, and the club has grown a new member database whilst keeping most of the original members. Things I'm not so proud of: crashing cars. Had a few crashes in my time years back, worst ones being my Fiesta RS Turbo, and then my orange P100 (formerly Rob Griggs of Ooh Ooh). Get it featured in Fast Ford, crash it one day after the magazine gets released. Write off. Is still sitting in my drive with a different chassis cab waiting for all the usuable parts to go back on & the chassis to be cleaned up. 7 years. Unfortunately, money, the running of the club, and family issues have just halted everything. The dedication to complete it is still there though.
  22. Such a different selection of Capris they have there, the BMW nosed one & the Mk3 convertible which looks like an BMW E30 320 convertible raises a few eyebrows, but there are some lovely looking clean Mk1s & Mk2s there!
  23. Yeah when I get a chance tonight I'll upload the vid of him lighting up the tyres! Also good to catch up with Gary with his new Anglia, it's a good'un, & as solid as they come with a good engine. I can some more tweaks coming in soon!
  24. Another great issue guys, and of course good to see Burt's Capri in the mag!
