  1. I didn't get a vid of the van burnout but I loved the enthusiasm! Giving it some! Anyway my pics of the day:
  2. HR, working in Bracknell. Something I am good at apparently as according to HR senior managers I am a "people person" (haha!) but this might explain why I run a car club, so time to follow a career
  3. Hopefully I will make this one, depends as I'm starting a new job on the Monday so might be pushing it!
  4. Very nice indeed, will be on the lookout for you & give you thumbs up
  5. Yeah as a club chairman of only one model of OSF it's very difficult to organise show stands & specific Capri-based events simply because it narrows down the amount of cars you can get. I know some of our club stands over the years have included an Mk3 XR3 & Mk2 Escort, even a Triumph Stag! I know yesterday I was talking to a bloke with a Fiesta Supersport & he mentioned the Mondeos & I was saying if that's what they want fair enough, but modern cars won't be remembered in the same way (think Corsa & stuff like that) but they're welcome, even though they must realise they don't quite "fit in". Anyway, was a great turnout yesterday, and although I didn't make Wednesday, I made up for it. Farewell to a great venue & hope the Greyhound meets will be just as popular. Big thanks to John for setting these meets and events up, and looking forward to the future meets & the OSF Summer show. I have pics & vids of yesterday, hopefully will get them up soon.
  6. Missed the last one so would be good!
  7. I can recommend for the bolts: http://www.mcmotorsport.co.uk/pintobolts_3.htm I think Burton do the pulleys.
  8. Park up at a car park in Hove & walk down the seafront.....I know it's a bit of a walk takes about 15/20 minutes but I think it's £1.50 an hour or around that price.
  9. Not my Capri! Pinto power all the way in mine!
  10. Mk2 Mondeo headlights available. removed as breaking car for Zetec engine in Capri. Lights work fine, good condition. Will put pics up in next couple of days. Pickup from Camberley, Surrey. £20 pair. Please PM if interested. Cheers
  11. Damn shame I missed it, looked a good night! Seen plenty of tyre smoking vids!
  12. Aggh wish i could be there tonight, have to wait for the Sunday breakfast meet
  13. Welcome to OSF
  14. I remember seeing this recently. I was on my way down to Dartford to see Neal @ GBS Blasting for powdercoating & saw it for sale at the side of the road, remember mentioning it to the girlfriend I want that. Like I said, lucky sod
  15. Normal policy tied in on multicar
  16. Yep will be there, it's also on the Surrey Capri Club's show calender so expect another 3 Capris to attend
  17. Lucky sod, I like that a lot
  18. Nice!
  19. Will be interested to see what you got, I should be coming down on Wednesday myself & I'll have a gander
  20. Capri is a daily, mostly driven at low revs but is at 60mph @ 3500rpm in 5th. 5 speed T9 makes for comfortable motorway cruising
  21. Grooved discs & sport pads upfront on the Capri, but it's hardly a power upgrade. My old Fiesta RS Turbo had Wilwood 4 pots, & they were excellent (when I needed them! 130-70 very very quickly!)
  22. Update! Firstly, those of you at Bromley will have seen my car back on the road. Fantastic to have it back of course! So Old Ford Autos took my head & dechoked it, reground, & reset the valve seats. New valves were added but I did not get an unleaded conversion done. Sounds bonkers to some but I'm more than happy topping up with additive on fillups, I'm sure I will do this once the car becomes less of a daily driver & I go tuning crazy. What I have had done is have the cam pulley & rocker cover powdercoated. I cannot give enough praise to Neal & GBS Blasting for the quick turnaround time on this. Got them powdercoated to an almost identical grey to my car &, as Neal said "they look the nutz". Not all my engine bay is perfect so more bits to be powdercoated, but such a huge improvement. In addition I also bought some stainless steel washers & bolts for the rocker cover, a new rad (since the water pressure expanded the old one out), a billet thermostat housing with new thermostat, & changed over to electronic ignition. It is produced by Pertronix, and from what's on here it's a rebadged Aldon Automotive electronic distribution, but since the guys at Old Ford have never used it before, I'm being the guinea pig! So far so good, no problems as yet, but only had it on the car just over a week. Old dizzy & coil have been replaced with billet dizzy & new coil. No points or condensers to worry about! They also had headlight rings plated & replaced my old headlights/rings with new ones I purchased a couple of years back. It might not look like the best engine bay in the world but is a huge improvement!
  23. And just as I mentioned about your car in another topic you go sell it! Well fair play & look forward to seeing this one in the flesh!
