Pye Man Posted April 25, 2007 Report Posted April 25, 2007 Well just a spring a chicken on here, but never the less I have pretty much lost my escort to a con-man. I had a 4door mk1 escort, that was being restored by a man (Mick Danelson knob!!). I had plans to install a Zetec and fully restore the car. When I left the car to go on holiday in July, I returned to see the garage where it had been worked was empty and forsale. I rang the guy in question who said they were moving to Dunston, Gateshead. He said they would be setup in two weeks and that the car was in storage and this would not cost me. Any who, after many phone calls and running around to find this guy, he arranged to meet me at his house. However he wasnt there (chicken sh1t!). The next time went round without notice to try and catch him on the hop...house empty!!! Now this is where I start to panic. I went straight round to the storage yard where the car was kept (Fergusons Removals, top blokes:thumbsup:) Luckily the car was still there along with all of the part I had supplied and minus the parts he had supplied. Now I could not really tell what state the car was in, but it looked pretty bad. The guys at Fergusons, were helpful but couldnt release my car due to contractual reasons. So three months later. The car is freed as it appears this Mick Danielson has done a runner. Sadly the car was wrecked, rust had kicked the car was like a bananna . I have managed to take a few positives, mainly the fact that I do have enough spares to build another escort in the future. What a kick in the balls though. The name of the company that was restoring my carwas/is: North East Custom Classics/Choppers Mick Danielson Last trading in Cramlington, Nelson industrial estate. Somewhere near where Fostek is based. Be warned, hes out there. Let me know if any one knows anything. Cheers

They said it was a civil dispute. Spoke to trading standards etc. but I would need him in person to get it to court.
