Dom Posted May 12, 2007 Report Posted May 12, 2007 Got a funny story! Just finished doin the brakes on my crapi and i've figured I need a bigger master cylinder since i've only got a small single circuit one fitted and am now running 4 pots upfront. So off I go to the car shop to order one and whilst going round a roundabout (A1 Blackcat) my rear left wheel fell off!! Looks like I got away with it, although my the threads are ripped out of my nuts and my U bolts are a little shorter
bomber1 Posted May 12, 2007 Report Posted May 12, 2007 easy done m8 at least u the car are ok and no one else involved
flyingbanana Posted May 12, 2007 Report Posted May 12, 2007 you sort of lucky considering how busy that roundabout it,and no one crashing into you
Dom Posted May 12, 2007 Author Report Posted May 12, 2007 Some coppers turned up and thought I was changing the wheel! I was like 'no it fell off'. Twas funny because as I ground to a halt my slot mag bounched past spinning, crossed both lanes of the carriageway and rolled down the centre reservation. It even stopped standing upright
flyingbanana Posted May 12, 2007 Report Posted May 12, 2007 were you by any chance booting it around it.....esp has its a large roundabout
jay Posted May 12, 2007 Report Posted May 12, 2007 buggar, at least your ok, could of been a completly different story...
Dom Posted May 12, 2007 Author Report Posted May 12, 2007 were you by any chance booting it around it.....esp has its a large roundabout Amazingly for once I wasn't! I think a couple of the wheel nuts were abit dodgey and vibrating a tad, the studs had stripped most of the threads off em anyways. As I first got onto the roundabout it slid slighty and I though (whoa! i'm not even booting it) then it went clunk, ding, crrrrssshhhhhh, bollox. I've only just fitted new brakes so I was being cautious. Nah I didn't run after it just watched it roll away going oooooo and ahhhhhhh evertime a car went past it
