Guest TheXEgrowler Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 i think the meet would be predominantly made up of people 25 and under but i woudlnt think if we do have one that anyone over 25 turning up would be told "oi m8 f00k off this is for under 25 year olds " because thats just plain rude and were not like that (for the most part ) agasin im not saying if you are over 25 you are old .. but the idea of a yosf meet is to get the guys of a similar age together if it ranges from 17 up to 25 thats almost 10 years difference between the youngest and oldest an age gap bigger then that and imho youre not really of a similar age ... i spoke to one of the ppl i though i had offended and e assures me hes ok with what ive said but if any of you do have a problem please pm me and ill happily talk to you (only if ure under 25 tho jks) SO STOP GOING ON ABOUT IT AND DO IT,GET YOUR YOSF MEET RUNING AND THEN YOU CAN SHOW US OLD BOYS HOW IT DUNE... HAVE FUN MY YOUNG APPRENTICE.... AND MAY THE FORD BE WITH YOU......

Danmex Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 Wow reading that thread has really knackerd me out I'm going to have to cancel Bingo and go to bed with a cup of horlics So let me clarify anything over 25 is officially old and not "down with the kids" So can I not be a member of OSF Club Juniors?
Mark2Mark Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 I think a mag feature would be the best idea, (and it would be a good chance for some of us whose cars are tidy but not cover car status to get a pic or two in a mag) I was just supporting the YOSF meet idea baeause i have been to a few RSOC meets and not felt entirley welcome i don't want to offend any RSOC members on here it's just the way i felt, Maybe it was not an age thing maybe it was just me? maybe it was my two heads!?
Danmex Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 More likely the strange arouma of cabbage that follows you around
Tom Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 i'm bored of this now. do want you want. i'm not going out in my car anymore too much hassle
Gareth Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 ^^^^ I'll give u a fiver for it^^^^^ No point leaving it sat there
escamino Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 You know, I probably would have agreed with this YOSF meet when I was younger, thinking that getting together with older people would be difficult, but the fact is most people don't change when they get older (I know I havan't) We used to go up to the Chelsea Cruise when I got my first car and we never had any problems talking to anyone of any age because we all had a love of classic and custom cars. Old Skool Ford is for like minded people. Can we stop looking at the differences and concentrate on the similarities we have?
Twinkle Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 chris you have given me an idea lets get all you whippa snappas down to chelsea and together we can recreate an old skool chelsea cruise night!! all those that dont have cars can jump in with those that do and show the young guns what we were up to at their age!! they would love it im sure between us we could sort out accomadation for those from further afield and get serious with the beer too
Gareth Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 That Twink, is by far the best idea yet :D
