Seeing the old ford pop in the other post with L plates on gave me an idea. What was everyones first car(old skool ford or not)

 

Mine was a 4 door mk2 escort with a 1760 in it, slammed on laser wheels and 2.8 billies. Also 2.8 recaros and a quikshift

first and only car on the road is my fiesta over a year and a half of thrashing and its still going strong

 

first car i drove was a P-100 cortina, then a few days later a volvo 944TD (still the BEST thing ive ever driven) the a jag soverign then a volvo 480 then i had a volvo 240 in the field then the old P-100 in the field then a mk4 escort van in the field then my fiesta

 

learnt clutch controll on a dirty great 60's tractor when i was about 12

as a side question , when was the first time you drove ?

 

i was in the works van when i was 17! going around a carpark , 5 minites of explaination ( no one had ever told me how to use a clutch ) and i was doing well

 

day after that we were on a beach in somerset after work and i was quickshifting the citroen work van the length of the seafront

 

took me ages to get the feel of powersteering , but i soon had it leaning in the turns and the tools were flying

I was given that when I was 13, but my first car I actually drove legally was a little Mini-Metro 1.3 L

 

The funny thing was, back then I didn't know much better and put a mahoosive Lax Power sticker in the rear window!!!! Hence the reason why I now have a nervous disposition with stickers!!!

First car i drove was a mazda 626 RWD stock car. 2 litre at 10 years of age My old man owns his own garage so i learnt very young. Then it was a 2.0 mk4 cortina

second was a pug 306, fooked that up on a curb in a petrol station and ran up the back of a doris who changed her mind at the last minute, sold that for a lot less than i bought it for

 

lastly a ford ka although i didn't actually get insured (only the missus) as looking at my record i'd only crash it

 

ah well, i'll look after the anglebox when it gets on the road cos i'd be gutted if that got dented...

 

first car i drove was my dad's works van in a car park. went about 10feet perfectly then he told me to get out...... did so, but he didn't tell me to take it out of gear! almost wiped him out cos he was half out of the car

first car i have owned is my 100e, then i had a pug 205 given to me so drivin round in tha till the 100e is finished. I used to race go karts and bikes a lot when i was younger so kind of been brought into driving. I drove my dads transit at the age of 14 just round the yard or the industrial estate ect. Gave me a proper go at his nissan sunny gti-r when i was 16. Touch wood, i have only bent the axle on my 205 so far (front wheel drives dnt like going sideways lol) and someone tried to steal it i drive my dads navara a lot too

my first car was actually my mums but I could drive most of the time it was a mark 2 escort 4 door and it was stock I thrashed it everywhere and reversed it into a lot of stuff and let a boyfriend drive it and he drove straight in front of a bus did I get a bollocking for that wasnt much damage he did pay for it. Didnt let anyone drive it again

learnt 2 drive in a 1973 aec mandator lorry when i was bt 6 or 7, my ol man put it in low and you couldnt stall it if you tried and flat out in top my ol man was still walking beside me!!!
