First car I owned was a Vauxhall VX4/90 which I managed to drive into my next door neighbours extension. First car I owned after passing my test was a Vauxhall Viva HA van called "Fungas". In my defence I've since had 9 Mk1 Escorts,1 Mk2 Escort,1 Mk2 Capri,1 Mk3 Capri,2 105E saloons and 1 309E van and only ever had 1 front wheel drive car.

Another Mk2 RS2, and then the (ahem) slightly modified RS2 I've got now. Interspersed amongst the above were about another 100 old sh*tters of various makes & models. Just bought the wife a Fiesta ST. Not very old skool, but a real laugh. 150BHP in a car the size of a roller-skate!

We'd just moved onto a new housing estate and were friendly with two of the Irish builders we called Paddy and Mick (never knew their real names). They were working one Sunday, and they let me drive the JCB up the road. My first car I owned was an 1977 Mini I christened 'Boris'. It only lasted about 8 months before I realised the bottom 6 inches of the body was just filler. It went though a lot, that poor unreliable car, that included having its front end ripped off after my dad tied a tow rope to the number plate bracket after it broke down.
