Osgood Isgood Posted June 22, 2007 Report Posted June 22, 2007 I expect to lose my 'ard on by about three o'clock!

ZetecVan 2.0 Posted June 22, 2007 Report Posted June 22, 2007 Someone at my daughters school has a Vantage S. He runs a furniture company. That's the only car my wife has really got excited about. She was dribbling when she got home and told me about it.
flyingbanana Posted June 22, 2007 Report Posted June 22, 2007 i saw a old one the other day (like the one in the james bond movie ) looked so smart
Osgood Isgood Posted June 22, 2007 Author Report Posted June 22, 2007 My numbers come up guys (and gals) and the FIRST thing I do is order a Vantage....I honestly could sleep with one! It gets my dangly bits tingling at the very sight of one! Personally I don't think any other car comes close to it in terms of pure aesthetic beauty! I got chatting to a bloke who pulled up in one at the next petrol pump to me one night, and asked him if he'd ever slept in it, just because it is sooooo beautiful...he laughed and said he had thought about it but hadn't done so yet. He also said he thought his wife might cop the hump if he did! A client of mine had a DB9 for a while, and he said there is no better thing than the look on his two young sons faces when he floored it with them in the car......SUPERDAD or what!!
sab6024 Posted June 22, 2007 Report Posted June 22, 2007 There's a Vantage floating around Perranporth. Almost run me over one day when I wasn't looking where I was going. If I was to be hit by a car I may as well get hit by summat nice eh
surfingturnip Posted June 22, 2007 Report Posted June 22, 2007 I think there are a few astons knocking around here along with some maseratis, the odd ferrari and some nice tvr's
orionmojo Posted June 22, 2007 Report Posted June 22, 2007 i dont see the attraction around brum along with the m3's, ferrari's X5's and porsche cayenne's it just means another drug dealer. you cant have one unless your black or asian
Admin Vista Posted June 22, 2007 Admin Report Posted June 22, 2007 See there's the thing about Aston's that I reckon the Italians are missing. I see an Aston, be it DB 7, DB9 or any incarnation of Aston (except the Lagonda ) go by and I think "Wow I want one!" On the other hand when I drove my Alfa up to AutoItalia day in Bristol in April I was in convoy with some brash looking Lambo, Diablo I think. It was bright yellow with a numberplate that read ERN 1 E, suitably spaced to read ERNIE of course. Now unlike the Aston, all the way up there I was thinking "ostentatious prick"

Still, it's the little differences that makes the World go round, and whatever floats your boat is your business

I do like that Maserati Quatroporte thing...but that's possibly because I'm a family man!
Twinkle Posted June 22, 2007 Report Posted June 22, 2007 astons are the nutz, for me they seem to be more sophisticated than all the other crap

Admin Vista Posted June 22, 2007 Admin Report Posted June 22, 2007 They made a 4 seater too, the 400. Not the best looking of Ferraris but it was the mid 70's and everyone from Aston to BL was doing the wedge. And it was a 340bhp V12! The 400 Automatic or 400A was introduced at the Paris Motor Show in 1976. It was the first Ferrari to offer an automatic transmission, in this case a 3-speed unit from General Motors. The engine, based on the Daytona's, was a 4.8 L (4,823 cc) V12 producing 340 hp (254 kW). Mounted in front and driving the rear wheels, the traditional GT car layout allowed Ferrari to fit four seats in the stylish coupé.
surfingturnip Posted June 22, 2007 Report Posted June 22, 2007 one for the family then, on a similar note might I point out the Lotus Carlton which I really, really want not quite a supercar I suppose but still mental
tazrocks88 Posted June 22, 2007 Report Posted June 22, 2007 i see wat all these people like in posches etc but i see aston's as miles above the competition there made of dreams! and there british and hand built!
