john_3.0s Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 out of the box a pinto will be better in terms of power, but i pref an x-flow myself and an x-flow is lighter
Twinkle Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 either really but a x flow would look more original if thats what you want it to look

Admin Mk2Jo Posted October 11, 2006 Admin Report Posted October 11, 2006 BRING ON TH FORTIES :!: Is that "bring on the forties" as in the fourty year olds or "bring on the forties" as in twin
deluxe Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 pinto con: heavier nose -> more understeer pinto pro: bigger engine -> more torque->more oversteer indifferent
Gareth Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 BRING ON TH FORTIES :!: Is that "bring on the forties" as in the fourty year olds or "bring on the forties" as in twin Carbs my good friend I thought I'd offend if i said fifties u see
DeuceCoupe Posted October 12, 2006 Author Report Posted October 12, 2006 It looks like the pintos winning at the moment
Paul F Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 I was going to use a 1600 xflow in my mk2 until i accidentally won a pinto on ebay for £23... I'd say go for pinto. More torque innit!
Gareth Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 Theyre both good engines, but a x-flo would be a cheaper and easier conversion on a 'tina. U wont need new engine mounts, heavier front springs etc. x-flo's jus a straight swap.... That said, It'll cost u more to get the same power outta a x-flo compared to a few simple mods on a pinto. U can still find pinto bits in scrapyards, how often dya see a x-flo in a knackers yard
choppachris Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 guess i'm fitting a pinto then deuce,
antz Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 get a pinto AND xflow. then sell the xflow to me
DeuceCoupe Posted October 12, 2006 Author Report Posted October 12, 2006 guess i'm fitting a pinto then deuce, well now it evens so I don't know have to see
