Admin Vista Posted July 6, 2007 Admin Report Posted July 6, 2007 Cars all packed for Powderham, set off big smile on my face. 1/2 a mile down the road the engine cuts out Pull the dizzy cap off and one of the screws that holds the optronic pick up in place has come loose and snapped two of the arms off the "sender" (not sure of the technical name) Anyone know where I can get a replacement lumenition fitting kit early in the morning? The bit that's broken is the fan like piece in the pic. Been planning and looking fwd to Powderham since last November
LEONMEX Posted July 6, 2007 Report Posted July 6, 2007 Not that its any help for tomo but i got my kit from rally design, they sent the bit you need (two different size holes,so be careful) & the fitting kit & i think it was only £27. Gutted for you mate.
Admin Vista Posted July 6, 2007 Author Admin Report Posted July 6, 2007 Glue it back together? being a big fan of ACME mechanics that was my first thought too, unfortunately one arm is missing altogether and the other is in 3 bits. Oh well lucky the Clocks for my Alfa came back from repair today, spent the last hour putting that together to go up in that. Unfortunately it's probably too late to set off now as I'll end up trying to pitch my tent in the pitch black. I'll ring arounf in the morning and see if I can get a lumenition fitting kit anywhere local if not there'll be a Wop on the stand tomorrow What do you reckon, is my Alfa Old Skool enough for an OSF stand?

FlashCadillac Posted July 6, 2007 Report Posted July 6, 2007 What do you reckon, is my Alfa Old Skool enough for an OSF stand? Only if i can talk about a mk2 fez in the OSF chat room oooo look NO!

Fiesta Steve Posted July 6, 2007 Report Posted July 6, 2007 I've cut them bits out of plastic and glued them on before. It ended up a permanent repair Cut the shapes out of the bottom of a yogurht pot or something, then stick them on with glue. Not a fan of those types of dizzys anymore.
