Admin Mk2Jo Posted July 16, 2007 Admin Report Posted July 16, 2007 What in your opinion is the greatest car chase of all time??
ZetecVan 2.0 Posted July 16, 2007 Report Posted July 16, 2007 The one I had half an hour ago with a chav in a saxo.... He just wouldn't let it lie and was determined to beat me at the next set of lights. Anglia Van 5 - Saxo Chav 0
Pye Man Posted July 16, 2007 Report Posted July 16, 2007 The one that lasts for ages in a yellow Boss Mustang. Cant remember the film Awsome car chase tho
Jeff HPE Motorsport Posted July 16, 2007 Report Posted July 16, 2007 The one that lasts for ages in a yellow Boss Mustang. Ccant remember the film Awsome car chase tho It was gone in sixty seconds..!!...The best chase has to be Bullit, in that OSF Gt350/gt500 green Mustang..!! Or maybe, the one when Myself, Me dad,Andy & Martin were racing back from the pod in the eighties, in our mk1 zephyrs/Zodiacs, of which Andy made a fourth lane using the hard shoulder.. Jeff Harris..
ZetecVan 2.0 Posted July 16, 2007 Report Posted July 16, 2007 Ronin I'll second that. My top 5 Ronin Bullitt Italian Job (Original) Gone in 60 seconds (original) Any Bond car chase.
Admin Vista Posted July 16, 2007 Admin Report Posted July 16, 2007 I have a few favourites Bullit The Blues Brothers And whilst the chase isn't that great I love the V8 engine note in Michael Cain's car, Alfa quad cam V8 The film's from 1974 and is called The Destructors
Mustang Posted July 16, 2007 Report Posted July 16, 2007 Got to agree with Jeff, Bullit has got to be one of the best
tazrocks88 Posted July 16, 2007 Report Posted July 16, 2007 yes ronin is cool and so are the born films in the same way i would like to say gone in 60 seconds but its 2 short same with the rock which is an awsome car chase tokio drift has 2 much cgi so cant contend i think bullit is over rated so i think i would have 2 say either 2 fast 2 furious for all those tuned cars they got 2gether terminator 3 Die another day ice chase or italian job both old and new or wait till transformers sorry may have gotten carried away as usual
presleybeetrootboy Posted July 16, 2007 Report Posted July 16, 2007 i rekon gone in 60 seconds with that beutiful shelby mustang gt500 (eleanor) also i think the dukes of hazzard is a pretty funny chase
johnny_h Posted July 16, 2007 Report Posted July 16, 2007 How about this for a twist? Not a chase but it is real and not a movie. Apparently it is a Formula 1 racing driver in a ferrari early one morning speeding a bit round Paris.
Copey Posted July 16, 2007 Report Posted July 16, 2007 Bullitt, Gone in 60 Seconds, Vanishing Point and i quite like Bad BoysII, the motorway chase with the big rig, and the 4x4 chase through the drug huts
hellblue Posted July 16, 2007 Report Posted July 16, 2007 The teminator films too had some good chases,as well as all the above.
Davecara Posted July 16, 2007 Report Posted July 16, 2007 Vanishing points gotta be the best I reckon, or Bullit
bortaf Posted July 16, 2007 Report Posted July 16, 2007 If we are talking propper car chases with no CG or fancy camera work , not like fast and the funny sorry furious IE no speeded up cornering Vanishing point gone in 60 sec (origional) Blues Brothers Shaker run Bullitt in no particular order
surfingturnip Posted July 16, 2007 Report Posted July 16, 2007 agree with all the above, wasnt vanishing point just one long car chase?
louie bagel Posted July 16, 2007 Report Posted July 16, 2007 there's to many to chose a favorite but one you forgot and i know its not the greatest, but there's alot of good chase sceans in CONVOY esspecially when the trucks chase the cop car through the town then crash in to the cop shop
Gareth Posted July 16, 2007 Report Posted July 16, 2007 Gotta be Bullitt, No crap music, jus the sound of V8's
4parajon Posted July 17, 2007 Report Posted July 17, 2007 I'm surprised nobody's mentioned "The French Connection" yet, proper high speeds in big old 70's yank tanks driving underneath the rail car through New York. My personal fave is Bullit
Osgood Isgood Posted July 17, 2007 Report Posted July 17, 2007 I'm surprised nobody's mentioned "The French Connection" yet, proper high speeds in big old 70's yank tanks driving underneath the rail car through New York. My personal fave is Bullit French connectiopn chase was brilliant. I heard it was filmed with very little effort at clearing the streets as they wanted to get more authenticity...but this could be a myth. Dont forget Rendezvous either..not a chase but a great film none the less, though it has been tainted by the recent revelation that the soundtrack was a bloody Citroen! As for Bullit, did you know that....( it's trivia time folks:D) The guy who directed Bullit, Peter something, got the gig on the strength of his earlier direction of the British film "Robbery" in the mid to late 60s, which has got a great car chase in it featuring a MK2 Jag (what else?)...although I actually think it was a Daimler V8, but it all amounts to the same thing!
RFChris Posted July 17, 2007 Report Posted July 17, 2007 Ronin. Pug 406, E34 M5 and lots of french cars getting destroyed....nuff said.
