The one I had half an hour ago with a chav in a saxo.... He just wouldn't let it lie and was determined to beat me at the next set of lights.

The one that lasts for ages in a yellow Boss Mustang. C

cant remember the film  Awsome car chase tho

It was gone in sixty seconds..!!...The best chase has to be Bullit, in that OSF Gt350/gt500 green Mustang..!!

Or maybe, the one when Myself, Me dad,Andy & Martin were racing back from the pod in the eighties, in our mk1 zephyrs/Zodiacs, of which Andy made a fourth lane using the hard shoulder..:twisted::lol:

Bullit

The Blues Brothers

And whilst the chase isn't that great I love the V8 engine note in Michael Cain's car, Alfa quad cam V8 :whack it: The film's from 1974 and is called The Destructors

How about this for a twist? Not a chase but it is real and not a movie. Apparently it is a Formula 1 racing driver in a ferrari early one morning speeding a bit round Paris.

I'm surprised nobody's mentioned "The French Connection" yet, proper high speeds in big old 70's yank tanks driving underneath the rail car through New York.

My personal fave is Bullit

French connectiopn chase was brilliant. I heard it was filmed with very little effort at clearing the streets as they wanted to get more authenticity...but this could be a myth.

Dont forget Rendezvous either..not a chase but a great film none the less, though it has been tainted by the recent revelation that the soundtrack was a bloody Citroen!

As for Bullit, did you know that....( it's trivia time folks:D)

The guy who directed Bullit, Peter something, got the gig on the strength of his earlier direction of the British film "Robbery" in the mid to late 60s, which has got a great car chase in it featuring a MK2 Jag (what else?)...although I actually think it was a Daimler V8, but it all amounts to the same thing!
