Admin Mk2Jo Posted October 3, 2007 Admin Report Posted October 3, 2007 Was talking in the office here this morning and one of the girls' friends is a nanny for a well known pop group and the children had a birthday party at the week-end. At the party was a psychic and she claims that she knows where Madeleine McCann is buried. She says that Madeleine was killed on the night that she was taken and it wasn't her parents and she can see the road that she is buried near in Portugal She says that she has contacted the Portugese police a number of times and the English police but has had no reply from either of them. Apparently she has helped police forces in the UK a few times on other cases (not sure what). She says if she doesn't get any luck she will go out to Portugal to the spot she is buried So .... what are your opinions on this and what experiences (if any) have you had with psychics?
ZetecVan 2.0 Posted October 3, 2007 Report Posted October 3, 2007 Two stories. Near where I used to live there is a spiritualist church. When I was 15 or 16 I went with a few friends. The doris psychic went round the group picking people (seemingly) at random. They went to a girl called Estelle. She said 'I can see uniforms in your family. Perhaps one of them is a nurse.' and she was going on for ages about this nurse in the family. I was sat there thinking 'Pah, she's only got a brother. What a load of the round ones'. When we came out I asked her what she thought and she said 'She was spot on. My brother is a nurse'. Then in 1990 I went to see one. I've got a tape of it somewhere. But here are the highlights: 1. I am going out with a dark haired girl. (Came true) 2. I will marry her (came true). 3. I will live outside Bradford (technically true because the Bradford council boundary is outside our house and we pay our tax to Kirklees not Bradford council). 4. I will own my own business (True) 5. I will make lots of money and own a yacht (not true but I'm working on it).
sambo Posted October 3, 2007 Report Posted October 3, 2007 My mates mum makes a living out of it but i just think it is all a load of the round ones.
Copey Posted October 3, 2007 Report Posted October 3, 2007 i just think it is all a load of the round ones. same here!!
escort21 Posted October 3, 2007 Report Posted October 3, 2007 They do it by guessing and reading peoples reactions from what they say.....agreed a load of bollox
Mustang Posted October 3, 2007 Report Posted October 3, 2007 Have been to see one and she made some interesting comments but will still keep an open mind. Also went to see Derek Acora from Most Haunted well lets just say 'what absolute crap'
ZetecVan 2.0 Posted October 3, 2007 Report Posted October 3, 2007 Also went to see Derek Acora from Most Haunted well lets just say 'what absolute crap' Yes, I tend to agree. I don't like Derek. My wife and family went to see that other one from Living TV. Can't remember his name off hand. His shows sell out months beforehand. She came back in two minds about him.
bortaf Posted October 3, 2007 Report Posted October 3, 2007 Been to the local spiritualist church a few times, went to see a phychic for a one on one and i have to say, WHAT A LOAD OF the round ones Couldn't have been more vauge if i slipped her a vauge pill Asked one question when she said she was in contact with a dead freind, went along with the vauge suggestive answers till TBH there could be only one dead person she was on about but amazingly death had made my freind forget the nickname i gave her, the nickname i used for 15 years and the nickname she adored (wouldn't let me call her by her real name EVER) amazing that
GT_Jim Posted October 3, 2007 Report Posted October 3, 2007 im open to it but not totally sold by it, id give it a go though but horroscopes are a load of bollox
Pipster007 Posted October 3, 2007 Report Posted October 3, 2007 5. I will make lots of money and own a yacht (not true but I'm working on it). Get Vista to knock one up in his spare time Personally, I don't believe in it, but some people are happy to believe
escortmad79 Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 Also went to see Derek Acora from Most Haunted well lets just say 'what absolute crap' Yes, I tend to agree. I don't like Derek. My wife and family went to see that other one from Living TV. Can't remember his name off hand. His shows sell out months beforehand. She came back in two minds about him. Derek Acorah does have a gift but on more than one occasion he has landed on his ar$e & been struggling to get messages! There are 2 others from Living TV that tour in the UK, 1 is Colin Fry (He is average) & the other is Tony Stockwell. Tony is the best out of the 3. I (along with another girl sat elsewhere in the audience) got a message from a girl that I didn't know personally, but knew of & attended her funeral. Tony came out with things that nobody would have known about & between us we managed to confirm what he had said. It's not the first time a "psychic" has claimed that they know where a body is or where they are buried. I know of 2 that apparently know where bodies of murder victims are. I am psychic, but not at the same level. I see spirits (Ghosts)
ZetecVan 2.0 Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 It was Colin Fry my wife saw. I've seen Tony Stockwell on TV and think he's quite good. My ex was once approached by a stranger in the pub who told her a load of stuff about her life, which included me, that he could have never known about. It freaked her out a bit...!
omj624p Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 Thats strange cos a phychic friend also said she knew that madeline was in water and surrounded by boats! They cant both be right

I'm into paranormal investigation, been on ghost watches ect and the word is (in the paranormal scene) Derek is full of and been proved to be so. READ!!! http://www.mirror.co.uk/archive/2005/10 ... -16303507/ You only have to sit down and watch the early stuff he did to see he's either decended into full on bullshit or madness, amazing how good he's got at it since he's been doing it on TV! semms to me ghosts must love the publicity Derek is the ghostly equivilent of Bud hopkins in the UFO world, possably the most dangerouse man in the scene today, both for the beleivers (cos he will get caught and make all beleiver laughing stocks) and to non beleiver cos his BS turns them into beleivers. And thats the whole problem isn't it, beleife requires no proof at all just hearsay and chinease wispers followed by some gullable mug at the end to beleive it. Followers of JC have been at it years now everyone who needs the glorification and adoring followers is at it.
escortmad79 Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 I was refering to him doing his stage show as opposed to Most Tainted! He has been set up on no less than 4 occasions both on Most Haunted & his own Ghost Towns by production & team members! At Bodmin Gaol he was apparently possessed by a South African prisoner by the name of Creed Cafer (The way MH had spelt it on screen), what it should have appeared as was Kreed Kafer (Which is an anagram of Derek Faker)! Two members of the team were told to discuss the made up prisoner in his presence by parapsychologist Dr Ciaran O'Keefe to see if he later used the name on the show... not only did he use it but he is the only psychic in history to be possessed by an anagram!! He "Went under" & started mumbling the name Kreed Kafer whilst kicking a set of stocks & throwing tea chests around much to the annoyance of the owners of the Gaol! Three weeks later MH filmed at Prideaux Place in Cornwall, again some members of the team mentioned in Acorahs company the name "Rik Eedles" stating that he was a highwayman (Although on screen it appeared as Rick Edles) to see if he would take the bait once more (Rik Eedles being an anagram of Derek Lies). When it came to filming he did indeed mention the highwayman but this time didn't become possessed! Prideaux Place being a stately home wouldn't have had a highwayman anywhere nearby! Ciaran set him up on that one & also again when the team visited Craigievar Castle near Aberdeen using CS Lewis' book "The Lion, the witch & the wardrobe" to set up Acorah! Ciaran said in the article in the Mirror "I made up stories about Richard the Lionheart, a witch, and Richard's apparition appearing to walk through a wardrobe - the lion, the witch and the wardrobe!" True to form, Derek mentioned all of Ciaran's stories - even though Richard I reigned 500 years BEFORE Craigievar Castle was built. He has apparently recently been set up on his own Ghost Towns show too but after all this came out & going to see the MH Live filming in & around Brixham & seeing first hand the fakery I lost interest & respect for the show. This video sums it up, despite constantly denying a rift between Yvette & Derek when they worked together on MH:
escortmad79 Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 There is also this one, from when they did the MH Live in search of Dick Turpin!
flyingbanana Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 They do it by guessing and reading peoples reactions from what they say.....agreed a load of bollox agreed.... i know some one who says she can...and she has said few things before which were true...but i think most of it is a loads of bull
