Admin Mk2Jo Posted October 24, 2006 Admin Report Posted October 24, 2006 Okay boys and girls The show season and the year is almost over .... we have Boxhill this Saturday, some more local meets oop North (25th October) and down South (Ashford 9th Dec & Stevenage 19th November) all listed in the Meets Section. Then we have our grand finale - The Xmas Bash on Saturday 2nd December - still tickets available, get your name on the list. Final meet of the year is Saturday 23rd December at The Ace Cafe in London. As well as the main shows and the OSFDC - what would you like to see happening with Old Skool Ford next year ..... serious suggestions please ...... here are some that have been mentioned already: London to Brighton Run (as suggested by Kevmk2) Week-end blast to Wales (camping Sat night at Brecon) Track/airfield day OSF Karting Your suggestions please ........ Oh, and any thread hijacking or stoopid ideas will be blown off the face of the board *cough* ahem *cough* just so you know
RFChris Posted October 24, 2006 Report Posted October 24, 2006 Love the Wales idea, and the airfield one. I reckon a drift competiotion at Crail might make a good weekend too, a-la Tram-Drift. But here's a crazy one.....how about we film everything over the year and have "OSF...The DVD" reay for next crimbo? Chris
MightySprocket Posted October 24, 2006 Report Posted October 24, 2006 the wales idea is brilliant, but why not Shell Island instead of Breacon, best campsite in Europe and just up the road from Barmouth
RFChris Posted October 24, 2006 Report Posted October 24, 2006 DING DONG! osf dvd! And as for shell island, hells yeah! Been there before and it kicks ass!
DeuceCoupe Posted October 24, 2006 Report Posted October 24, 2006 the wales idea is brilliant, but why not Shell Island instead of Breacon, best campsite in Europe and just up the road from Barmouth why cant we do both then
Mr.Sumo Posted October 24, 2006 Report Posted October 24, 2006 love the DVD idea... we could film all the shows and the OSFDC as well..... how bout a OSF trip to Le Mans for the classic race
Morley Posted October 24, 2006 Report Posted October 24, 2006 What about that elusive OSF show that has been threatened in the past?
Rick Posted October 24, 2006 Report Posted October 24, 2006 make a dvd. id do it but i wont have time or travel enough to capture it all... maybe in the future, i did one for a skateboard team once it took me 4 years to film and edit but was awesome
Doc Posted October 24, 2006 Report Posted October 24, 2006 The North versus the south show and go cart race.
Admin Mk2Jo Posted October 24, 2006 Author Admin Report Posted October 24, 2006 I am deffo liking the idea of the video thing ... particularly the OSFDC .... keep em coming guys
Posse Posted October 24, 2006 Report Posted October 24, 2006 What about that elusive OSF show that has been threatened in the past? yeah deffo whos paying and where do we start

Posse Posted October 24, 2006 Report Posted October 24, 2006 i reckon if retro car show is'nt going to happern anymore i reckon that would be a start .its at santa pod jamie
Admin Vista Posted October 24, 2006 Admin Report Posted October 24, 2006 i reckon if retro car show is'nt going to happern anymore i reckon that would be a start .its at santa pod jamie I'm liking the own show idea but how about something a but futher west for a change, I travel hundreds of miles each way to all the shows I attend so how about something nearer the Bristol end of the M4? Plus if you're interested in a stand at a good all w/e show that has camping with all the facilities (important ones being beer tent & entertainment) I'd recommend Powderham Castle show near Exeter in early July. It was huge last year.

Admin Vista Posted October 24, 2006 Admin Report Posted October 24, 2006 Excellent, here's some links to see what it was like this year My Photos (predominantly OSF's) http://www.oldskoolford.co.uk/phpBB2/vi ... highlight= Their photo's (predominantly old duffers with pre war vintage cars and traction engines, but fret not there was much more than that) http://www.cbccc.net/assetts/slide-show ... tions2.ppt Next years link http://www.cbccc.net/hvg/info-index.htm I'm looking forward to it already . It's a 2 day event and even if we can't all get on a stand there's plenty of space for private exhibits though both have to be booked in advance unfortunately.
BaileyMex Posted October 24, 2006 Report Posted October 24, 2006 OSF Karting Love this Idea, no NOS no LSD no Throttle bodies, just full on have it rubbings racing in go carts LOL
