Come home from work yesterday (5.30) and thought I would take the mk1 out for a bit and fill it up with fuel. So I parked my RS outside the house so I could get the Escort out (Drive in front of garage) went in for a bit had some dinner etc and let the traffic die down then 7.30 pulled off the drive to find the RS KEYED all down one side! (side facing the road) I know it was ok when I parked it up! Makes it worse I thought my road was ok, never really have any problems and aint a bad area.

 

Now I donno what to do, I got to pay out for it to be sprayed which means I got to find a good body shop that will do a good job. Then what? Can I risk ever parking it out side my house again or the Escort? I donno if it was a one off or what! So now thinking mite as well sell it as its pointless having a car that I cant park outside the house, if it had happened anywhere else I would be pissed off but least I can think well I was parked in a public car park where low life scum hang round braking into cars etc

Makes it worse is that I heard a car with a 'fruity' exhaust go past and turn round just past my house then go slow past the my house and the car then speed off up the road. I normally look to see what car it is but my sister goes “don’t be nosey” so I didn’t look. But now I’m thinking it was prob them out the window of their car or something (Going by the height of it and sorta stopping by the miror) But even if I saw them chanced after them kick 5hit out of them they know its my car and where I live so only gonna happen again, or called the police they caught them….prob still gonna get back at me and do it again…. Can’t win really! Just the world we live in…

the mobile painters a good idea, worth a try. thats the problem with this country at the moment, it is full of scum!! my capri was parked up on the road at uni, and i watched two kids walk past and one one em dragged something against the rear quater. i ran out (but living a in flat time id gotten there they'd disapeared) to find a fooking great key mark from the dorr to the tailgate. these two kids were like 14 or something too. little bastards.

 

keep an eye out mate, if you see what looks like some trouble makers hanging about or some people that stick out make sure their aware that you know their there.

Got the valeter at work to have a go at sorting it out....2 hours later....

 

Can still been seen at the right angles but so so much better! Gonna leave it as it is for now. He wet and dried it back the G3-ed it the mopped it. He wanted £25 for it so gave him £30! Super job, I cant belive how well it come out!

I know how you feel m8. My Corrado got done like that, and I knew who did it. I went to the police who went round to talk to them, but as there were no witnesses (apart from me seeing them walking further down the street) that's all they could do.

 

Glad you got it sorted. Mine was deep and it had to be resprayed down that side. It was that aqua blue pearl colour, so it didn't look right when it was painted.
