 I had an arguement with a chav at a mcdonalds drive through because apparently my mex or "piece of shite scrap car" was covering his chav mobile with black smoke n that his vicky pollard gf couldnt breathe because of it (altough a few more colourful words were used).. Bollox!

So to cut a long story short, i told him to fook off, collected the order, wacked on the brake line lock, lit up the rear wheels n smoked the bastad..

Piece of shite car my arse!

Hmmm 2.0 injection pinto on a twin choke, 20 odd years old, smoked about in sierra and now smoked about in a capri

Probably about 60 brake lol

24v cossie would be the easiest route, already got one 24valver capri  and it's pretty good for a standard motor, albeit the Emerald ECU.

That was when you needed the chav mobil with a flame thrower kit!!

Smokes almost as good, with a sand blast, but it's not like setting someone on fire!!

The fact is a modern hot hatch is more powerful, faster, more comfortable, more economical and a crap load safer. The only thing that hasn't improved is the fun factor. I'd rather burn round the lanes at 50 mph in my Escort than 80 mph in a modern car. Of course that is comparing like for like. Once you start sorting the suspension out on the old cars and fitting something like a cossie turbo then the modern stuff will have a hard time keeping up.

I don't think anyone hear would fancy their chances if they were in a standard RS2000 and came up against an evo or subaru but if you were in something like Retro Al's car then :D
