Toby Posted November 8, 2007 Report Posted November 8, 2007 Ok do we all think they're ok IF it's low enough? Or can we not even agree on that?
duttnut Posted November 8, 2007 Report Posted November 8, 2007 I've seen these sort of wheels on Capris before, can't say I'm very keen
John boy Posted November 8, 2007 Report Posted November 8, 2007 I had 17s on my old tina and it looked great but its got to be low!!!!
jay Posted November 8, 2007 Report Posted November 8, 2007 Ok do we all think they're ok IF it's low enough? Or can we not even agree on that? hell yeah, gotta be low
Dom Posted November 9, 2007 Author Report Posted November 9, 2007 Alrite, granted they look very slapstic comedy big Paint 'em black, decambered single leaf's on the back, sort the front out?
bomber1 Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 Alrite, granted they look very slapstic comedy big Paint 'em black, decambered single leaf's on the back, sort the front out? i like that tbh big wheels on older or cars with drum brakes need to have a fat spokes not skinney spokes imo its ur car if you like em on your car then what the fook does it matter what anyone else thinks
Dom Posted November 9, 2007 Author Report Posted November 9, 2007 Only real problem so far is turning the steering wheel
Toby Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 Look better than I thought! Sits lovely 2 problems IMAO 1 steering as you say. 2 brakes - too small.
BaileyMex Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 The wheels looked Jank on the ebay link, but I think as the car is Low you can pull it off I agree tho, I think they would look hard in black
the1theycallthe1 Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 My old car. what have you done! looked miles better on thirteens what engines going in it? oh well, il have to stop checking up on it now, and concerntrate on my camaro.
Toby Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 Prefer the 13's Prefer the lack of front splitter. Sorry if you didn't want my opinion!
Slik 50 Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 I like it pal Just needs lower profile tyres IMO
Dom Posted November 9, 2007 Author Report Posted November 9, 2007 Zetec Turbo The back is standard height at the minute, think i've got a lowering kit somewhere, might chuck it on to see how it looks. I've got a set of mega low profile 17's that im gonna try on tomorrow, the rear is getting a disk conversion and i'm looking to get some huge brakes for the front (not that it needs them) Red calipers? And don't worry rob the plasma cutter won't be going near it (maybe a little) which is more than I can say for the green machine
Ade B Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 Paint the wheels to match the vinyl roof and all other black detailing and it would look much more 'together'. Still suits those 13's much more though I'd say
ASBO CAPRI Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 13x7 RS 4 spokes would suit car the best in my opinon but if u wanna go big these 16inch rs 7 spokes would look pukka. These are what i had on my cappa before it went pro street. I've seen 17 inch versions on a cappa but they look too big in my opinon.
jay Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 the 17'' look nice... but black defo.....
Guest MK1gaz Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 13x7 RS 4 spokes would suit car the best in my opinon 13's are the best
