V8ian Posted November 15, 2007 Report Posted November 15, 2007 Mk 1 Lotus Cortina, Everybody has seen the picture of Jim Clark three wheeling the Mk1 round Clearways, and how many people have never thought Wow, thats cool, It was also the first foray into the Ford Performance Market for Europe, I supose you could also include the 427 Galaxies thet raced in the 60s as well, Fast as Fook with drum brakes trying to slow down over 2 ton of metal Hairy chest and balls of Steel stuff indeed.
Jimbob-Squarepants © Posted November 15, 2007 Report Posted November 15, 2007 From a slightly different perspective.... I think the 105e Anglia... why??? Well, this little car was responsible for the partnership between Cosworth & Ford. It was also a new breed of ford, with sharp styling and it was the first to feature the new OHV engine which was the beginning of new engines for Ford *edit* BTW, it isn't because I own one, my personal favourite is and always has been the Capri. I love all old Fords... all of 'em I tell ya

I'd vote for the 105E Anglia or the 100E but it's neither are on the list but Escort Cosworth and S1erra Cosworth are.... The 100E must be the best OSF because it's still seen every day over 50 years after going into production.

ZetecVan 2.0 Posted November 15, 2007 Report Posted November 15, 2007 Well that's according to the Anglia Prefect Popular book. I thought it was 1960 too until I looked in the back and it gives production figures of 38000 for between Oct 59 and March 61.
