M11rf Posted January 16, 2008 Report Posted January 16, 2008 If you can't beat em... join em Aint that right Daggle...
Rick Posted January 16, 2008 Report Posted January 16, 2008 nice one for complaining mate, we all need to start moaning more. its the only way to change things
mossy Posted January 16, 2008 Report Posted January 16, 2008 thing is i completely agree with daggle and the other for both sides of the opinions.. but a copper doing 90 mph on the motorway..no blues and twos - left alone me in the fast lane doing 90mph pulled over, points and a fine. Not really fairness in that.
bortaf Posted January 16, 2008 Report Posted January 16, 2008 Daggle out of interest (and the fact i'm on your side) is there any occasion where a police officer would go to a call without the music and lights?
Daggle Posted January 16, 2008 Report Posted January 16, 2008 Yeh if you don't want ppl to hear you coming, bank robbers, kids kicking in someones gate, kids kicking someone in....
omj624p Posted January 16, 2008 Author Report Posted January 16, 2008 Yeh if you don't want ppl to hear you coming, bank robbers, kids kicking in someones gate, kids kicking someone in.... But on a motorway??? And anyway you can put the lights on without the siren.
Muttley MK2 Posted January 16, 2008 Report Posted January 16, 2008 God almighty, get used to it! There have been double standards since time began. There will always be those who take the piss, and theres nowt you can do about it. Years back when I worked in the salvage trade we used to get Coppers from the stolen car squad raiding our yard looking for ringers and nicked motors. When they found some (there was always a few about, nudge nudge) they would expect a bung of a few hundred sovs and then they would fack off happy! This does not mean all coppers are bent and I never see them as nothing more than ordinary folks doing a job of work. They are not super human, just human
omj624p Posted January 16, 2008 Author Report Posted January 16, 2008 No-one seems to know the difference between right and wrong anymore, and no-one seems to care either, or be willing to stand up and do something about it. No wonder this country is going down hill. Oh well.
james p Posted January 16, 2008 Report Posted January 16, 2008 Daggle out of interest (and the fact i'm on your side) is there any occasion where a police officer would go to a call without the music and lights? when there waitnig for some one to come help them ie. of there about to pull over a stolen car with 7 imagrents in it and there is 2 of them ,they have to stay with the car but cant use there lights and sirens as the car will pull over and the peope inside will leg it 2 coppers cant catch 7 people on ther own
M11rf Posted January 17, 2008 Report Posted January 17, 2008 there about to pull over a stolen car with 7 imagrents in it and there is 2 of them ,they have to stay with the car but cant use there lights and sirens as the car will pull over and the peope inside will leg it 2 coppers cant catch 7 people on ther own So true... you need more than 2 coppers to hand them all free housing the same day...
32 HI-BOY Posted January 17, 2008 Report Posted January 17, 2008 u cant trust the coppers they tell you what you cant do and they do it its like there mocking you
FredTransit Posted January 17, 2008 Report Posted January 17, 2008 When I moved over it accellerated and shot passed me. It was a female on her own in the car. So I pulled out behind her and tried my best to match her speed. My car said 85mph, my sat nav said 81mph. I started to flash her, but she didnt slow down. Instead she just started to tailgate the next person in the 'fast' lane. So I rang the police and reported her (hands free), I gave them the reg number and told them what wsa happening. She then moved into the left lane and undertook a few cars!!!! I am amazed the police didn't do you for speeding, as you admitted it (if you didn't mention the speed on the phone, you have admitted it now). Don't get me wrong, I think you were right to make a report, but I can't tell you how many times I have dialled 999 hands free and reported something dangerous (like following a volvo estate full of tinned food dragging on the ground so low it was spraying sparks everywhere) and been questiond about if i was hands free or not. I support the police too, but sometimes they don't make it easy for the public to help them.

I didnt dial 999, I rang the non-emergency number instead.
Muttley MK2 Posted January 17, 2008 Report Posted January 17, 2008 I have just got home tonight after running out of fuel in the capper. The fuel gauge was still above the bottom of the gauge and it has gone below that b4. Any way, after going to get fuel in a can I tried to start her but the sodding battery went flat b4 the fuel pumped through! I had got the car two wheels on the kerb but I was on a double red line! So I phoned a mate who said he would be there in ten mins with jump leads. Whilst I waited a Police Transit pulled up behind me, I got out and spoke to the doris in the passenger seat and asked if they had some jump leads. She replied "we dont carry them and I can nick you for being on a double red cos running out of fuel is not a breakdown!" I was amazed at this response, then she said she was making a note in her pocket book and if I was not gone in ten mins she would nick me!! So much for any hope of some kind of aid So I have kinda changed my attitude now "All coppers ARE bastards"
