Adam Posted January 20, 2008 Report Posted January 20, 2008 My names Adam,im 25 and from Norwich.Ive been away from the classic Ford scene for 5 years a while driving Skylines and Supras till I bought a GSXR for my speedaholic side and thought I wouldi return to my old love of Fords. My first car was a 100E Pop while I got my Mk1 Escort on the road-sold both though,a regret i hold to this day (Especially the MK1 as I know I will never buy another one for £200 that I bought it for ) Anyway my new project is a MK2 Capri, its not pretty but its never been restored and it wouldnt be a 70s Ford without a few obligatory patches of the orange stuff. So its going to be a on-road project. However the forum wont let me post pics from my photobucket till ive got 10 posts/been on 2 days. Its a 1.6 GL with RS 4 spoke style wheels on it..just waititng for it to come back from the garage for its MOT then I will know more about it. Anyway...so..im new...be gentle with me.

Lee-Mk2 Posted January 23, 2008 Report Posted January 23, 2008 Welcome! It's good to have yet another Capri on here and a MKII at that!
Adam Posted January 23, 2008 Author Report Posted January 23, 2008 Im still deciding what to do with with it really. Tuned 2litre pinto leave it looking stock-rat look? Get it sorted cosmetically, leave it stock? Havent really got the money or facilities for a full rebuild so thats out of the question but I think a tuned 2litre Pinto leaving it looking fairly stock is the best option, though I have toyed with getting the headlight from a MK2 Mercury Capri and getting looking muscle car..I suppose I will leave it to fate (or what goes wrong with it) to make my decision.
DEP Posted January 24, 2008 Report Posted January 24, 2008 Welcome to the site Adam, Capri looks good
