Guest MK1gaz Posted February 20, 2008 Report Posted February 20, 2008 The cars Le Mans green and has a tweaked x-flow with twin 40's (ones knackered and can't be tuned as the mixture screws don't work) so it idles and runs rough . It's got rs roll top seats which are a bit tatty , new repolished 7x13 rs 4 spokes with 175/50/13 yokos , quaffie atb diff , rear roll cage , new bumpers etc . It really does look smart and you'll definatley notice it if you see it

Rick Posted February 20, 2008 Report Posted February 20, 2008 im sure we can all at least try and imagine how gutted he must feel. i think id cry but why didnt he have some sort of alarm immobiliser??? i know its bad when you have to add these to cars but the times we live in are bloody bad ones. we have to make these cars so hard to steal that people dont attempt it or at least if they do they give up after an hour fuel cut offs, electric cut offs, home made sirens, full blown alarm/trackers, big visisble deterants like crook locks and chains, wheelclamps.... and as retro stated a few weeks back its prob best not to advertise whats protecting your car as this is a PUBLIC forum.... they could be reading these posts.... sad but true

The thing what makes me wonder when I see posts like this though is this. The thieves are exactly that, there must have been at least 3 of them. They must be "into" OSF's at some level for them to know how desirable they are and how much money they are worth, they could be reading this post as we speak or the similar one over on TS or RallySportEscorts. The whole thing is very very scary.

If someone can put a banner up with a picture and description, we can could print them off and dot then around local shop windows. Loads of us live in and around the area!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know Id help the guy out by paying a few pennies for the shop window advert. Come on, this is where OSF come togther

He has worked hard to pay for the insurance and brought the car from money his mum left him when she passed away. So all help and ideas much appriciated.

mitomad Posted February 20, 2008 Report Posted February 20, 2008 Dont know if you have allready but it might be worth putting this on piston heads as they have a stolen cars section and gets a lot of people going through the forum. edit- post in in the general gassing section and the mods put it in the stolen cars section aswell
