i for one find this whole scenario very scary . As you all know i have had to move my car because of " suspected " thieves .

I am in agreement that something needs to be done ... but be careful chaps , with the Law in this land as it is , if you touch someone who tries to steal your car , your probably liable to be done ...sad fact unforunatly

I think the OSF Database should come into full effect here ...starting with the South London posse , yep , thats you Gaz  , by posting ANYTHING anyone sees or hears that looks the slightest but suspicious :ykt:

Nice call there Jo , lets hope the local Taliban take this with the serious note that it is ! :ykt::thumbsup:

And to quote Shaw Taylor ... " Keep them eyes peeled " :D

people just beef up the security like what has been said, the old bill wont do shit imo as they are shit scared of pikeys.that is why the dirty thieving fookers get away with every thing.

I cant believe how bad things are getting these days. My brother once was asked at a set of traffic lights to pull over into the petrol station just past the lights so that the guy and his mates can have a look at his car, my brother said no, then the bloke got out of his car whilst they were at the lights, so my bro floored it and went through a red light, he wasnt taking any chances :ykt:

Ive been followed a few times, i always go a differant route each time i come home if i can, i have beefed up my garage security with an alarm and other items. May get some razor wire too for the edges of the roof

I got a decent alarm system for my mates garage yesterday with 120db external siren , internal siren , 7 zone panel , magnetic door switches , p.i.r. sensor , battery back up , etc etc for £140 with all the cable . This is not bad considering how much peoples tools + cars are worth these days

Watch um peeps their be taking cars at knife point soon at the side of the road.

It has actually happened before on the A217, a man was sitting at the lights, not in an osf but in his nice new car and a gang came from the side of the road and tried to nick his car! Seems like you cant have anything these days.

Also i dont think anyone would be getting to mine any time soon, my garage is alarmed and blocked by a land cruiser about 4 taxis's and my 205! Im well prepared

Very worrying! I already have what I consider to be decent security in & around my garage/car, but I'll definately being looking at adding more stuff now.....

As has been said abve - be vigilant, and someone will get a lead on this pikey....

I have my doubts about how effective car alarms are these days as I'm sure alot of you do, but here is an idea of mine:

Tracking devices cost around £500 and they are getting cheaper all the time, how about ten of you get together put your name forward to a moderator who then approaches a tracking company to get 10 cars done at a discount, say £400 each.

If the names go to a moderator and kept anonymous then any Pikey reading this will know that at least 10 extra OSFs down South have tracking devices.

Or alternatively/ in addition, doing the same thing but for this product:

http://www.trackershack.co.uk/tracker-bug-201-p.asp

it's a £70 tracking device that uses a sim card and the mobile masts. Not as accurate but it has a added benefit of you being able to dial it and listen to what is going on in the car without the occupants knowing.

If we get another 10+ OSF using these, then nicking OSF will start to seem like an uninviting prospect.

i like that idea.

i will be looking into fitting a tracker.

maybe i can ask a few companies for us?

if we can get 10 people that is?

Well, depending on cost we have 3 Mk1 transits I would be interested in tracking, and have another 2 that would need them in time, and some Mk2 transits.....

JUST OUTSIDE THE CROYDON AREA ...AND AS I SAID THEY TOOK THE BL**DY GARAGE DOOR OFF !!:twisted:

THE OWNER IS NOT ONE TO BE MESSED WITH EITHER...SO FOR SAFETY IM NOT GOING TO RELAY WHEREABOUTS HE LIVES AS HE IS NOT AMUSED !!!!!

This is getting beyond a joke.

Perhaps we should set up a 'security' room to discuss this further, and have entry to it by invite only. The last thing I want is some pikey reading what we're about to do to secure our cars...

:shock::shock: Taking garage doors off , taking garage roofs off  , WTF can you do to stop these coooooooonts !!!!!!!!!:evil::evil:

Just been down tesco,s in crawley to buy some just for men hair colour in black bastards were sold out ,seems like our suspect is trying to disguise himself as they said paddi came in and cleared the shelves and was seen leaving the car park in a pink shogun with tractor wheels on the back and pram wheels on the front  anyway on a serious note i agree with everyone be very aware of everything and stop talking on this subject openly on this forum i think enough has been said openly and agree it shoud only be invite only discussion from now on, for those of you who have been victims all we can do is keep a look out for your cars and hope that it returns to you safe and sound

now im worried! a lot of the ideas are impractical to me as mine is my everyday drive so must leave wheels on etc! security opinions please!(serious practical ones) i also live in pikey central :(
